Is there any reason why this site, one which ends with .uk insists on showing dates as month then date rather than the other way? I know its an Americanism, don’t know if it’s also a Europeanism & am reasonably sure its not an irishism…

But as a personal preference if I’m writing a date as a number I would do 29/01/2006 but if am writing the month as a word, I would write January 29th 2006, as opposed to 29th January 2006 - so it kinda makes sense to me. :s
