Mark all posts read

Started by tgE

When I click ‘Mark all posts read’, why do i have to do it twice to make it reset to 0, i.e. to make it read the correct time off the server. it seems to reset to the last time i posted quite often first time, then i have to click it again. is it something to do with my cache? anyone else noticed this?

I also have to click twice on ‘mark all posts read’, but I don’t really pay attention to the time of the server actually…

The first time you click the link, all posts added until the moment you started your visit to the boards are marked read.

So, if you click it and it still says there are x new posts, this means that x new posts have been added that you may not have seen yet.

This includes any posts made by you during your visit, so if you added 3 new posts, and it says there are 3 new posts after clicking the ‘mark read’ link, simply click it again to make them disappear.

If it say there are more than 3 posts you know someone else has been posting something new in the mean time.

Hope this clears things up a bit.

I never knew that - but that is really useful to know!
