Metallica have a lot of lost ground to make up in my book after the Download fiasco of a couple of years back and that shite St Anger album

Hell yes! Probably everybody does. It’s impossible to do as good as the old times. But I’m ok with the new material too, it’s almost nothing compared with the past but as long as they keep performing its okey

Me too…which is why “…And Justice For All” is a disappointing album for me.

“Kill Em All”, when they were little more than Motorhead wannabes, is more like it.

Personally, I like Metallica as a Rock band (Load and Reload are underated, albeit flawed, albums, and the black album, though a cliched choice, is undeniably a great record).

For Metal, it took me until recent years to discover Slayer properly, but as far as thrash and metal goes, they make the early-era Metallica seem pretty lightweight.

Having said all of this, Metallica live are still a force to be reckoned with, despite James’ weakening vocals and Kirk’s ever-shite guitar-playing. And Rob Trujillo is a LEGEND!

Metallica were better with Cliff Burton. And of course, when he got killed, I was hardly into metal. Snob, sniff.

I don’t like the attitude of Rob, can’t help it. But he’s an excellent bass player though

Oh really? First bit of crticism I’ve heard of Rob..

What do you dislike about his attitude ? You mean he’s arrogant or false or…?

I think he seems very humble and very “into” playing, hence the prancing about, but I can see why some may find it a tad over-the-top..

I don’t mean to be argumentative, by the way, I’m just interested to hear how he comes across to you, interesting to hear a different point of view

Yeah thay’s exactly what I mean I think he’s al little bit “too” , and I don’t think he really fits with the other guys, his moves are a little bit strange, but your right he’s a friendly guy and I don’t have anything against him but I just think he doesn’t fit in metallica. But hey I’m not complaining about him he’s good
