Giving Enough Rope…

#

Started by Unrequited_lad

This is one thing I find: with a lot of bands, when I dislike a song, I force myself to listen to it until I like it. Usually, this can take quite a while, or it doesn’t happen at all. But with Therapy?, it only takes a few listens. Case in point: Wicked Man, Endless Psychology and Watch You Go, I used to skip all of these, but the moment I gave them a try, I loved them.

Am I the only person who finds Therapy? songs easier to stomach than most other bands then?

I’m with you on Endless Psychobabble - never got into but a few years after Shameless was out I suddenly had it stuck in my head and couldn’t stop putting it on!

Took me a couple of years to get into Shameless, save for a couple of songs. It is a good album, just weird to listen to in places.

Joey, Alrite and Body Bag Girl are a little harder to take than most, I’ll admit…

To help myself, I cut those three tracks off Shameless, included all the b-sides and re-arranged the tracklist. Now it’s a very fine album from beginning to end :D

I always liked Shameless probally one of the most over produced albums they have ever done but it had the attitude and rawness that T? will always have and at the time there wasn’t that much good albums being put out by anyone apart from SOAD’s Toxcicity.

Agreed. Also, when looked in the album’s booklet, there is a TON of people who worked on it! Guest musicians, etc. Weird, weird… :)
