I would have to second that.
Is the main reason that I didn’t bother downloading the Rock you Monkeys / Polar Bear single. Don’t really buy many singles in general to be honest, but with Therapy? the B-sides have been very worth while in the past (Love Pantopon Rose!!!) and I feel that they are great on the RHC EP.

Has anyone actually got the rain hits concrete single.
I think in the case of the last download e.p, it was a bit shit, a double a side single with 2 songs from an album everbody already has, and then live versions of songs that we’ve all heard live versions of a million times before.
And the if it kills me single if i remember correctly had rust as a bside and mama you can call the ambulance now, asong from the album and one of their “pop” singles there trying to move away from.
In this case we are actually getting the value for money, 3 b-sides.
Bands like the wildhearts always supply original b sides, and have i do believe never done a live b side. i could be wrong but i dont think so

i think you’re right there matey.
Wildhearts are the best band for b sides, most of them being better than album tracks.

exactly, i mean the of therapy albums are great, cantknock it, but the singles of recent times arent worth it.
Someone here did ask how many people buy singles and there right, i never buy them, i was getting al the wildhearts ones that they released, and i try and get old therapy ones every so often, but nothingt else interests me.
When i buy a single, i want recorded b-sides, not album knockoffs, thats why i actually got rain hits concrete.
Either that or i dont want live versions of songs and another song thats already on the album i bought.
The only exception that could be made would be the almightys just add life singles era where all the live songs made up a whole gig, combined with the tour edition album.

well obviously we do.
I rate them equally, the point being made here was that the wildhearts are a lot better at supplying top quality bsides where as in recent years therapy have been more palming us off with crappy live stuff or double a sides.
You cant compare the 2 bands musically because they are way too different genre wise, which is strange as the 2 bands do share mostly the same fanbase

its ok, you’re not being monitored! its, whisper it, ok to like other bands! :)
@Speedball, were you at the hammersmith show a couple of years back, then? Thats last time i saw ‘em and they played “girlfriends clothes” that night. Magic. Fave b side is either that or “Can’t do right for doing wrong”.

Yep, i was there, it was like a little slice of heaven. My 2 fave bands under one roof.
Therapy? opening with meat abstract, ending with hey satan you rock which i thought would be one of those songs they dumped when they got shot of martin, then the mighty wildhearts come on.
Was impressive b-side night, girlfriend clothes, dangerlust, ocd, cheers, beautiful thing you.
I saw the wildheart at the harlow square if you ever heard of it, that was the best gig ever, such a great in such a tiny venue, and most songs available on request.

nah, don’t know abot the Harlow square gig. The best i saw was Halloween night 1995, the encore was nearly as long as the main set! Bloody brilliant. Opened up with S.I.N (in sin) and (finally) ended with Geordie in wonderland.

Would have loved to see them the first time around, but made up by seeing them just about everytime they played london after that, the square gig topped them all though. I had to beg for everlone, my mate got suckerpunch for his birthday, they did splattermania and news of the world.
They had about 5 set songs, everything else was request.

Oh man, how I wish more bands were like that..
I love Motorhead, and they seem to tour every year, but they play the same set night-in-night-out and the next year they might vary, say, four of the songs from the previous year..

Happy with the final product as it’s making music noises therapy? style.
But have to agree I like opening a CD box, tumbing through the inlay card (though Singles don’t generally have one) while listing to a few tracks.
However, does more money go to the band with this download thingy? Whats the percentage chart thing of what each faction gets.

Bands only own live recordings.

The band went and recorded them seperate to the album recording. And there is no physical CD or anything.
So! who owns those recordings?
