Earth Vs is widely regarded as their finest work. Optimum balance of melody, attitude and pure ROCK! heaviness. IF you’re more interested in a distorted, white noise extravaganza tied together with the trademark melody then try Endless, Nameless (although you would probably be the ONLY person to listen to that album first and then be prepared to try anything else after - it puts most people off and it took me a good 2 or 3 years before I fully appreciated it)

The Wildhearts must be Destroyed is a very capable and listenable album, 2003 I think, its different to Earth Vs in that a lot of the frustration and aggression have gone, the band seem to have mellowed and are writing catchy pop choruses - I think its brilliant, but if you didn’t like Earth vs then maybe its not for you.

PHUQ is god, but quite similar to Earth Vs, some of their most commercially succesful stuff came from this record (I wanna go where the people go for instance.)

Don’t be happy…Just Worry is their first release, some catchy tunes, but you can track the bands evolution and some of this is pretty raw, but its still a classic.

IF The Wildhearts just aren’t buttering your muffin try Ginger and The Sonic Circus. Valor Del Corazon in Ginger’s first “proper” solo album and I think it’s brilliant, really diverse, really catchy in places and a very emotionally charged record - best appreciated with the live show too though.

I once tried to put a “Best of” compilation disc together, but ended up with a 5CD set.

I don’t care much for “Earth Vs. The Wildhearts” or “The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed”.

I highly recommend “p.h.u.q.” and “Fishing For Luckies”, which are equally great. If these two albums don’t do anything for you, then The Wildhearts simply aren’t your band.

If you don’t like Earth Vs i don’t think you’ll like any of the album or Gingers various other side projects.

personally i’d vote for endless nameless as one of their finest works, soundog babylon, pissjoy and junkenstein being the main standout tracks.

although a few other people refer to it as commercial suicide.
