I think Jarvis Cocker is ace. Which is amusing as I used to think he was a weird-looking nerd when I was younger :)

I think I actually prefer his lyrics to Morrissey’s, they’re slightly less self-obsessed but just as funny ;)

My pleasure…if anyone would ever like to hear one of my many other opinions, be sure to let me know ;)

Last I heard he was happily married to a fashion designer and living in a cottage in France. And doing some weird arty musical side projects which I’ve no interest in.

I think I may well have to make a thread especially for that :)

Relaxed Muscle was what I was referring to when I mentioned the weird arty bollocks side projects. I’ve not actually heard it, but have obviously formed a general bad impression of it somehow :)

Notice also how there are VERY FEW (perhaps 1?) results that aren’t connected to either of these two songs.

Lastly, the fact that these two lyricists were ALREADY being compared to each other further up THIS VERY THREAD (gasps from auditorium).

Your honour, I hereby assert that a Mr Steven Morrisey owes a Mr J Cocker the entire royalties for ‘Ringleader Of The Tormentors’ to be payable at his leisure.

And that’s where I quit cos I feel like I have a massive neon sign saying GEEK! flashing over my head here :o
