shameless 22 votes so far? cum on it may not be the best album theyve made but it certainly is NOT their worst, i do admit it is a bit of a change from the usual trademark therapy? sound, it sounds like the ramones doing rock ‘n’ roll, and stalk and slash (track 12) sounds a cross between deadstar by muse and slither by velvet revolver. still rocks like a mutherfuck. i think the whole album is underrated, then semi-detached.

Yes yes yes!

Shameless is a good album, when will people get off its case?!

I didn’t even bother buying it cos what I heard was so weak! 1 album thats rawer than a sandpaper condom yes, 2 in a row is a bit of a suicide mission i think. I bet if SP…YF came out AFTER Shameless, that one would get slagged off more.

*Confused*

Shameless is nowhere near as raw as SP-YF. In fact, I can’t see how it could be described as “raw” at all. Sure, it doesn’t have the production sheen of Troublegum, but most Therapy? albums don’t, and I would say that’s a good thing.

i ain’t about to start a riot here, but i don’t like troublegum that much (altough i voted for HA) troublegum has some good songs, but it’s very simple and lacks depth, it’s almost the same in every song, big riff..verse…singalong chorus…yadayada. i think that if any of u guys heard troublegum for the 1st time today u would only need like 3 listens to “get” it, just to simple…just my opinion

Hey, ain’t it funny that the poll says ‘…least favourite’ whereas the thread states a bold ‘worst’ Therapy? album…? Thought that was interesting

I did! Don’t really like it.

My vote went for Infernal Love though.

Went with High Anxiety, though I was close to clicking Shameless.

While Shameless lacks some of Therapy’s brilliance, it *is* a good album with very solid rock songs. I don’t like the production too much, to me it sounds like they were trying to clean up the sound of Suicide Pact, which they had every right to do, but Shameless is too polished.

High Anxiety has the right fury behind it, but lacks when it comes to ideas. Also, the drumming is, IMO, sub par with the drums on other Therapy? albums (thank God it is much better on NANE). The whole thing lacks focus. People say that NANE is rough, but while the sound is, the playing is excellent. I am not pleased with the playing on HA. I still like most of the songs on it, though, especially Who Knows, Watch You Go and Rust.

I thought HA was all over the place and lacked focus. Didn’t like the sound too much either. Voodoo Doll, Last Blast and Watch You Go sound like bad songs to me.

If this had been an EP with;
If It Kills Me
Who Knows
Nobody Here But Us
Rust

..it would get my vote in that EP poll though :>

im not voting but id say nurse as its too slow, the songs are fine live but on cd are a bit of a drag.

But i never quiet get the shameless bashing. Did any of you see t? on the shameless tour, it was the best gig ever.

and i am the money is the most catchy song of all time.

leave shameless alone, in fact what a shitty thread that ppl would try to find flaw in the best band of all time

Be secure in your opinions and the fact that there’s always relativity.. and other people’s opinions.

Almost forgot, just to make it that much more confusing, Shameless is one of my favorite albums.

HA. Because alot of the songs on it are awesome, but it doesn’t sound like an album - more a random collection of songs. Sure a few go together but then theres some random ones on there too. I like them all really minus some moments in one or two.

Some of the songs on their own are my faves though!

I hope that made sense.

A bit early for that kind of comment do you not think?

It took me a full year to warm up to Semi-Detached (love it now), all others were instant favs.

Out of those: Shameless. Which is not a bad album, it has several great songs, it just has some weaker songs.
