You’re right. I wasn’t sure which releases to include as “Hats Off…” and “Born In A Crash” weren’t really EPs “of their own” and I forgot all about “Nowhere”.

Well if all of them are EP’s then you should also add:

Die Laughing
Trigger Inside
Nowhere
Misery
Knives
Perversonality
Loose
Lonely Cryin Only
Opal Mantra
And possibly Isolation

Really Baby Teeth, Pleasure Death, HOTTI, and BIAC are mini albums, not EP’s.

Am I splitting hairs?

I’d call it a compilation album.

Back in the day, a single had one or two tracks.

An EP (Extra Play) was basically a single and had between 3 and 5 tracks and ranked in the singles charts.

An LP (Long Play) was a full length album, while anything with around 6 or 7 tracks was a mini album.

Today, to be classed as a single it must not have more than 3 tracks otherwise it is classed as an album, and therefore qualifies for the album chart.

So technically, Rain Hits Concrete is a mini album because EP’s do not exist any more!

BTW i’m basically guessing this, so if anyone knows different, you’re probably right!

I think Alice in Chains “Jar of Flies” was classified as an EP (first EP ever to enter the American Billboard at No. 1 according to Jerry Cantrell) and that has six songs (I think).

Oh well, all Potato / Potahto to me ;)

Jar of Flies (7 tracks i think) was sold with Sap (5 tracks) which made it up to 12 tracks, thats probably why it was classed as an album.

I didn’t include any singles that didn’t at least include 3 unreleased songs or releases that had less than 6 songs. Everything between 4 and 8 songs is an EP in my book.

Well, I votde for Born In A Crash, partly because I don’t see Babyteeth or Pleasure Death as EPs, but mostly because of the awesome live versions of the old classics.

i wouldn’t count babyteeth as an e.p but if it was then i would go for that, as it’s possibly my favourite thing by them. if not then shortsharpshock i would guess as i played it to death when i bought it.
