Thunder IA — became Big Cave In
Holly Hunter’s Hands — became Six Mile Water
Again And Again — became Stay Happy
Titanic — became Lonely, Cryin’, Only
More Than Perfect — became Safe
Dark Days Coming — became Heaven’s Gate
Armageddon Checklist — became My Voodoo Doll
Husker Du’y Song — became Lost In The Sunlight — then became Kids Stuff
Kiss Me On A Ghost Train — became Last Blast
New Song 2 / I Like Cock — might have become Black Eye, Purple Sky — Alan knows more about this one

That’s just songs that were renamed or evolved into something else that was released. There’s also a list of song names that were mentioned as being rehearsed for various sessions that haven’t been heard of since…

btw, also from 1996, ‘New Song in D’ would eventually evolve into ‘Joey’. (this was the song with the lyrics “this is my world”, and was probably considered New Song 1, as it was played on a couple of dates before New Song 2).
