Song Lyric Reviews

#

Started by Angelo (Guest)

I am offering a brand new service for those who are involved, or who want to be involved, in the world of lyric writing. I am offering the chance for people to send their lyrics to me to see if I can give advice on how to improve them, or add to them, AND also if you are stuck for writing about a certain topic and you need some help. I give general advice also. All you have to do is write to me, or submit your queries or lyrics to the my address :-

kubrick216@hotmail.com

Also, I am working on a website for this purpose but I have not finished, so I will come back and notify the messageboard when it is completed. I am a prolific songwriter and have been for many years so don’t hesitate to ask for my opinion or advice. Oh, and by the way…

T? FOREVER!!!

I am wondering why no-one has replied to my offer yet… surely it is appealing. Oh well, you’ll know me when you want me, I’m the one sticking my neck out.

here it is 3 months later and still no response.
i wonder why…

sending lyrics or peotry to someone you don’t know is a hard thing for some people and the mere fact that you think you can help them improve on their writting could be taken as a slap across the face. especially to those who when they write, they write from the heart.

Who would? Lyrics are for the most part a personal thing and to have someone else fuck about with them makes them not yours any more. People are probably woried about being ripped off as well. I sure as hell wouldnt send any to someone I didnt know. Ask friends for their opinions but not strangers.

I might take you up on that!
Anyway, people putting lyrics up on the internet is a bit of a funny business!
Copyright and shit! Anyway, a lot of people don’t want someone
stealing their lyrics. I don’t know why. With the state of mainstream
music as it is today, someone may use your shittest ever lyrics about
some shit topic like going to the shops and helping a granny across
the street!

You can protect your lyrics pretty easily by simply mailing them to yourself, registered mail, return receipt requested. As long as you don’t open the envelope, you’ll have a certified dated copy of your lyrics.

Angelo, I don’t write lyrics, but if you can read music, I can send you my latest symphony! I’ve even arranged a MIDI version of it for those of you who don’t read tabulature or standard notation.
