Who did/do you prefer portraying the dark knight?

(Before changing the message boards’ software in August 2007 this discussion contained a poll, which may return in the future)

Oh, wait, _petty_? Well, I guess you’re something. I thought you were going on about those ‘pretty’ pink ribbons you like to wear again.

*confused again*

Wait. That’s me.

actually all of them (except Adam West) weren’t bad.

Just in the case of Clooney he didn’t have much to do but sit by Alfred looking depressed with a “I must kill my agent for talking me into this!” look on his face..Or perhaps he did suck but the rest of that movie was so bad he looked good in comparison.

Bale is definitely the best. He can act and is actually physical enought to pull off the action believably.

Keaton was surprisingly good especially in the first one.

Kilmer was fine nothing to special one way or the other though.

I’d have to say Michael Keaton - he wasn’t the complete “pretty boy” that everyone after him portrayed. And actually managed to get away with a lot of his one-liners. The first film was definately the better of his two.

Then Christian Bale, whom I must admit I was a little dubious over him getting the part. Plus going from The Machinist to Batman Returns (in work out regimes alone) deserves some credit.

Thirdly Adam West, he was in the unfortunate posistion of believing his agent that it would lead to bigger & better things - yeah, all the nails in the coffin of your career (could have been worse, he could have played Superman :D )
Plus it was the equvilent of putting a classically trained actor on a kids saturday morning show like Tiswas - wrong style of person for the show.

But each to their own :)

Christian Bale apparently managed that change by way of lots and lots of pizza and icecream. I’m trying to follow his advice, but so far it’s not working, and I’m just a fat bastard. I think maybe I need slightly more icecream(?)

The scary thing is that he ended up having to lose weight for the film, because he put too much back on!

I think Batman Begins was an AWESOME film! My fave Batman so far I think. Michael Keaton was good too.

I am a bit concerned that there is really no need to remake the 1st Michael Keaton Batman film like they are going to do with Mr Bale next time and bring back the Joker.

I’m worried it’s going to be disappointing after Batman Begins, but however it turns out, I don’t think it’s going to have very much resemblance to the Michael Keaton one.

they’re making a sequel to Batman Begins, and it’s going to have the Joker in it, apparently. So far as I know, that’s where the similarities with the Michael Keaton film end, but I don’t know if Buffalo Boy knows more?
