You never hear from her, do you?

Kinda shows it was all bullshit, doesn’t it?

If I was her and I had passd on to the Other Side, I’d be sending messages through mediums (“media”?) left, right and centre, saying things like:

“I fucking KNEW it! Life after death and all that ‘I am your Uncle Rodney and i just want to tell you your Auntie Edna is OK and she is missing you’ stuff - he’s right here with me now, aren’t you Rodney? having a RIGHT old chinwag, aren’t we Rod…?”

She was like an older, female version of that scouse guy of the Most Haunted thing with that bird off Blue Peter..Derek something..?

Only he walks around spooky old castles kidding himself that he can talk to and see dead people whilst Stokes had the good sense to do it sitting down in a nice warm studio.

EDIT:

She also did a rather grand pineapple upside-down cake and her recipe for roast guinea foul is, frankly, peerless.

EDIT: I used to deliver TVs and I went to one house (around 1996ish) and it was a vicar who still had an old, working TV that had a separate box attached that was put there to receive BBC2 when it first went on air, cos when he bought the TV you could only get BBC1!

TVs were always in colour, it was the world that used to be black and white.

Mediums are there to make people feel better about their past & the people who they miss (i.e. the dead ones) and to make money at the same time. Or a name for themselves so that a TV company with too much money will give them some to make a programme that they can then flog for more. So then the vicious cycle of crap TV continues. :)
