In the Real Ghostbusters, was it someone known who did Venkman’s voice? I have definately heard it before, i think he might have also done the Garfield cartoon?

Yeah, that’s right. And also, ironically, Bill Murray, who played Peter in the Ghostbuster movies, does the voice of Garfield in the Garfield movies.
Spooky…

And the guy who did the voice of Starscream in the original transformers.
RIP the weirdly voiced guys of our generation. :(

Nowadays Mr Ben would probably get an ASBO for that kinda behaviour… Security would definitely have him barred at least.

Sorry to be a bit doom and gloom, but i saw it quite recently (on cartoon newtork i think) and I thought it was AWFUL - and that was after *LOVING* it as a child :(
Dont tell me Dungeons and Dragons is bad too now :( :(
At least Knightmare is still good! :D
just watch episodes like: “The Boogieman Cometh”, “Mr. Sandman, Dream Me a Dream” or “take two” where they are watching gb1 in the cinema… that’s just AWESOME… and then tell me again its awful..
i must admit, that there are indeed a few weaker episodes, most of them are the very last ones. you should know that there are about 140 episodes! but anyway. it’s a classic cartoon, and i still love it.

The one I saw recently (well, it was about a year ago) was one where they went to New Orleans and the ghosts were all into jazz / ragtime music… is that the “Boogieman Cometh” episode you’re talking about? I didn’t think it had aged well at all…
I also remember an episode that was *FREAKY AS PIE* where it was the end of the world (Ragnorok or something) and this dude with mountains for pupils was prancing about with a lute… and Peter met some girl with a skull for a face in a subway station.
Ah, the sleepless nights of my youth :(

Arsineo Hall did Winston,
My favorite ep was “Collect Call from Cthulhu”” too bad they didn’t have Metallica’s “Call of Kthulu” or “Thing that Should Not Be” in the background

Right dudes! Help is needed! While we’re in a kids tv thread - i have a show in my head that NO-ONE remembers! Tell me what it is/where there is info on it and i will come to your house with a pint of beer!
Here goes!:
Sunday morning, 9am about 1991.
Set in New Zealand and the credits at the beginning is a boy playing in his tree - he falls out and ends up in a coma. It then goes inside his head to a World that is run entirely by children and the only way for him to pull out of his coma is to find his dad who is in there somehere and each episode followed his travels. He is accompanied by some of his friends from the ‘real’ world who are also sitting at his bedside. It was quite a surreal drama (to say the least!)
Anyone have ANY ideas what this was?! It came on around the same era as Betty’s Bunch…i bet no-one remembers that either!
Thanks!

why were they called the “real” ghostbusters? As far as i’m aware you’d need half a dozen or so knock-off ghostbusters doing the rounds before you could stake a claim as being the genuine article…
Unless its like “Real” Madrid?
Imagine turning up at the match to watch them only to find out it were just “madrid”, and instead of beckham and carlos and raul and the like its just a few old Pedros swigging on bottles of san miguel and smoking cancer strength ciggies. You’d curse like a peasant wouldn’t you, eh?

We’re all probably forgetting The Fake Ghostbusters, a show that features a bunch of people following the Real Ghostbusters around, and muttering ‘we could have done that.’
Lol, or maybe the Fake Ghostbusters all went out of business after the BBC’s Rogue Traders caught them on camera wasting time, and bringing in ghosts from other hauntings. :D
(VO)’We’ve released a small spirit into the kitchen. Now, all that it needs is to be zapped and trapped. Let’s see what out Ghostbusters do.’
Fake ghostbuster to wizened old woman: ‘yeah, you’re gonna need a full exorcism. It’ll take about two, maybe three hours, and the bell, book and candle are gonna cost about £345? Maybe £360.’
