Did you say that Douglas Adams was over-rated one time? (You seem to say that about everything I love :))… of so, you don’t belong in a book shop.

 So true!

Congratulations on the job, Squall - but it’s important that you are transferred to the stationery department as soon as possible! Either that or you should be forced to read ‘The Salmon of Doubt’ so you understand that as well as being a literary genius Douglas Adams was also a truly amazing and inspiring person …

Off your arse & putting a bit of beer money in your pocket. :D

I have to say D. Adams work I never really got in to, so Squall you’re not alone. Plus you don’t have to be a reader to work in the book section, it’s not like the customers in WHSmith want a two minute review of the books is it?!? They are only probably there to get vouchers for someone!! :p

I do believe i’ve never said Douglas Adams was over rated, having never read any of his books.

:) I once attempted to read a Will Self novel and gave up near the end :D

If it was the Will Self short stories thing where the last story is half the length of the book then I think it’s a good thing you did - it has a major twist at the end and it made me feel sick! :S

@Auto Surgeon - read the Salmon of Doubt then - most of it is interviews and articles rather than fiction and I can’t believe that anyone wouldn’t enjoy reading it :)

Yeah, I realised a while ago I was thinking of Stanley Kubric… you know best author ever, best director ever. Easily confused. Read ALL of DNA’s books right now though, or may you never sell a book again.
