Andy in Classic Rock magazine

#

Started by Dennis

Dunno if it has hit the shelves yet (I get it earlier cos I am a saddo with a subscription :D ) but our Andy C is in Classic Rock this month..
They have a load of famous and not-so-famous rockers (and Terry Butcher, for some reason) picking their favourite Rock Icon..

Don’t have the mag with me right now, but our man picks one of the Ramones, as I recall. Joey? Johnny? One of the two… Johnny I think.

Nice to see Andy in the mag again, after his review of Orgasmatron earlier in the year.

Lemmy picks Tina Turner! But then, as he points out;
“I remember Elvis’ first single coming out, so I was never gonna pick David Coverdale, you know…?” :D

Metallica’s 3rd album was Master of Puppets, Trivium’s 3rd album is the pop - metal - lite ” crusade “. With no standout classics at all !!

Commentated on Pro Evolution Soccer 2 for the Play Station. Used to play for Rangers.

Trivium’s Ascendancy is an outstanding metal album, I fucking adore it. The new one sucks. Really hard.

That is annoying that those silly little children are being compared to legends. Heavy metal has died, please can’t it stay that way? just for a few more years?! :p

How can you NOT compare, when the Trivium album sounds more Metallica than Metallica has sounded in years? ;) That doesn’t make the album or the band good, but if a reviewer wouldn’t mention the similarity, I would be surprised.
