90% of my Therapy?-collection are things I don’t really need… When I come to think of it, what’s the use of having the same release 10 times, just because there’s a minor difference in them, that only geeks are able to see :o
But still… I can’t do without all this.
Go on, buy stuff you don’t really need, it’s fun!!! :D

Gav’s brother has several gas masks - he hides them in his wardrobe (he worries me)

Nothing wrong with having gas masks (or even full npc protection) nearby. You know, just incase…

What I meant was, it’s a hobby with no possibility of satisfaction - because even if you get everything ever released by a band, in every format, there’s always going to be records/CDs out there with one less scratch than the one you have…covers with one less crease etc. etc. So to me it seems a bit futile…but then I guess any hobby is essentially futile :)

I find this especially true concerning bootleg collecting. I know that some people have slightly better, lower generation versions of what I have, but is it really worth asking for a copy? At what point is enough really enough!!?

Unless you own the master recordings of everything filmed of the band (which is impossible of course), bootleg collecting is a bit pointless really.

I think collecting should be more about having a personal collection than having “EVERYTHING” in *perfect* condition.

Maybe that’s just me.
