I saw meerkats on Sunday, but I have to say they look a hell of a lot colder in the UK than they did on the TV in a nice sunny climate…I could almost hear them say “What on EARTH are we doing HERE?!”

Apart from the wood used and the work on the fret board it’s not that nice of a guitar… but I have never been a explorer fan anyway so I’m baised.

what Dennis said.
Actually, heres a good topic: What are peoples favorite guitarists guitars? As a kid i loved Eddie Van Halens red and white stripey Kramer, and that Steinberger he played, but ultimately it was Michael Schenkers black and white Flying V.
Anyone else?

Horrible looking guitar.
As a bit of an oldschooler give me a classic looking guitar over all that fancy nancy pointy stuff any day of the week.
My favo is my very own black & white strat-style Peavey Predator.

The SG is nice that would be cool to have… it’s a similar colour to my les paul i have.. which is my favourite guitar, it’s the one I have always wanted and has a different colour to normal and plays perfectly for my style.. i’m actually not worried about buying another guitar again.

I have three electric, one acoustic. Perfectly happy with my Les Paul and my Tele, got all bases covered that I need with those two.
I am also of the “classic design” rather than “shitty pointed plastic glam metal shite” school of thought :D

it just sounded like a quip is all. :) “how many guitars you got?” “7…and a ukelele.” sounds very Dylan Moran.
So is nobody loving the old Eddie Van Halen stripey Kramer then? :(
So that’ll be just ME who actually striped his Sunn Mustand with electrical tape then?
Fine. I know when i’ve been humiliated.

You take the piss out of Motley Crue but you had a Van Halen style striped guitar?!
An all time low in my estimations, young fella me lad, an all time low…

I had a FUCK sticker on my bass when I was 14 in homage to the mighty Het!
I think Het with his black pointy Explorer was THE iconic image for me when I was young!
Now its probably dug from Kings X with his Hamer bass literally round his knees! Cool as!

But I’d happily get a job murdering kittens in a factory if anyone could get me a Jack Casady signature bass with this finish.

i believe I will have the nicest guitar ever!!!
Im building it at the moment.based on a les paul, but with a strat relief on the top of the body, cos I keep catching my wrists on the top edge of my other les pauls. Its mahogany,tune-o-matic roller bridge, and through body strung. So it shud look like a Maton, or even a bit like a gretsch.Colour wise, deep emerald/racing green.I might post pics of it being built.

Dan’s right, pics are a must.
btw I keep catching my wrist on the top of my Les Paul too - I get a rash on the inside of my forearm at the end of a gig with all the rubbing.
