Trigger Inside Joey Beltram mixes

#

Started by Ian Hayllar

can anyone help by the way ? The only two tracks I do not own (used to but someone nicked my 12’ copy) that Therapy? have recorded and released are the Psycho Amigo mixes of Trigger Inside. Does anyone have MP3s of these they could send me ? I can see what I could swop for them, I would dearly love to have these again and as they are no longer commercially available I cant buy them anywhere !!!!

that would be cool.

Actually I have a question to everyone regarding sharing stuff that people maybe havent heard before - old b-sides, demos, bootlegs - ie tracks that wouldnt be losing the band any royalties. Has the discussion ever come up about creating somewhere on the Net where we could put all these tracks in MP3 form ? (As i mentioned before, I have pretty much everything and would be willing to share the stuff that hasnt been deleted or was never commercially available in the first place. I know that DCG (T?s management) wouldnt even consider allowing this, not sure about the guys themselves…but, if we kept it among ourselves, do you think we could sort something out ? answers on a postcard please :-)

I have the 12’ already, but I still haven’t found the time to hook up my record player to my computer (how does one actually do that to get the best sound quality.. anyone?). I will try to do it soon.

About the MP3 sharing idea, it’s a good idea, and it has been discussed before. I’ve been planning to put up some more rare stuff on my site, but I don’t have the possibility to put up an entire archive of all rare and deleted songs.

Maybe I could make parts of the archive available at different times, to make sure the use of bandwidth is spread out over time. Good idea? Any other ideas/thoughts on this idea?

I’ve tried it before, but I guess you have to have your own private website to make it work, or spread the songs over more commercial sites. It did work for a while, but then I got kicked out!
Maybe via an FTP? I don’t know about a user limit or something, and how to make sure only certain files can be downloaded, but surely there has to be a way to do this easily?
Or try and do it via Audiogalaxy. The songs won’t be available all the time, but people with cable (like me) are online pretty often, and the upload speed is not bad at all (unlike Napster). Anyway, I have a lot of T? b-sides and live songs, maybe if I move these files to the audiogalaxy folder you can download it? It’s worth trying, I think.

Audiogalaxy, that’s a good idea, and to show my support, I’ve moved a bunch of stuff into a shared directory, it’s mostly from the Infernal Gum album, which a lot of you will already have I guess, but what the hell.
There must be a few bands called Therapy ‘cos I’ve downloaded a bunch of ‘c’rap going by Therapy (AG doesn’t bother with the questionmark)

Why not rotate a CDr with the rarest T? songs?
I guess there are people that are willing to pay for some shipping cost. You have them in the best possible quality as well.
Good Idea? I tihnk it is…

Kinda depends what you mean by ‘rare’. The acoustic versions on the Bad Mother single are rare indeed. Bu a song like Evil Elvis, is it really that rare? O well, I’ll try and make an mp3 of my ‘rare’ b-sides and move it to the audiogalaxy folder. I will put a list up here with the b-sides once I’ve done it, alrighty?

I’m talking about songs that are on hard to find official recordings.
So yes, the Bad mother tracks (non mp3), rare vinyl remixes for example.
I guess B-sides are still widely available. So that’s no problem.
But maybe also songs that are on vinyl only.
Let’s just make a list…
We can fit about 20 tracks on it…bwueheww

What do you mean by NOT mp3? I have a lot of the b-sides you mentioned, but I downloaded practically all of them from the Internet as mp3 and then converted it to wav so I could burn it on a cd. I have 3 cd’s full of b-sides now, the quality is great, so what’s the problem?

Well not my Mp3s. Most of them suck. That’s why I’m buying CD singles as well. Some of them are 112bps or even worse…
OK some of them are really good, but they do not much a ‘normal’ recording. A lot of frequencies get lost when converted, that’s a fact. But it also depends what software you use to decode.
But we’ve discussed this before a while ago…

I got most of my b-sides from Brendon’s page (brainsawx), his site is up again. You can download songs like Teenage kicks and Skyward (new) there, he also wrote that if someone is able to donate webspace he will put up any song you want. Maybe that’s an option too.

If it comes to about 20/30 songs I can put them on my site as CD-quality MP3’s. I think I can handle the amount of traffic that will come from that.

Let me know if you’d like that. Then I will see which ones I have myself (most of them), and which ones I need to get from you guys/girls.

Rene, I think it would be a great idea to find a way of working out who has 128k/44khz MP3 recordings of the 20 rarest tracks and maybe we can submit them to you ? The list that appeared earlier was good. Why not get everyone to submit a list of the 10 tracks they want to get their hands on the most and then see what the results are ? Im sure that between us we have all the CD’s, vinyl and tapes from which to make good quality MP3 recordings…I know that I can help out with most of these.

Well, I bet none of you has these two versions of Screamager and Die laughing (grin). Maybe I’ll use that for my own website.

There is also a mp3 section with some stuff I didn’t find elsewhere, but really bad quality. Maybe interesting for collectors like Gie.

He’s using WinZip, which is a pain in the arse. You’ll have to ask him how to get it working.
