i didn’t get into t? properly until suicide pact when i was forced to see them at leicester uni by a friend. yes, i was a bit of a late starter. i’d heard bit’s and bob’s before i.e screamager, die laughing, diane, church of noise etc but it was that fateful gig that sealed the deal.

I saw “screamager” on TV and couldn’t get it out of my head for days. Then I found out that the cutest boy in school had the songtitle written all over his mathbook. This was the perfect openingline for me :). “hey, I saw that musicvideo on tv. Who’s song is that… ” (secretly thinking “I want you, please take me, take me now:))
As it turned out, he was not interested in me but in my friend :(
positive note:
At least I got to know the name of the band. And now years and years later, I met my boyfriend at a T?-concert :D. How about that :D

way back in the midst’s of time i had friends.
i remember being told that there was this album called “troublegum” which was apparently good. at the the time i disagreed. i’d never listened to it at that point. many years passed… in terms of the first song i actually listened to, it was probably “diane” which i recall seeing the video for on one of ray cokes mtv show’s (i think it was still called “most wanted” at that point). but then it still took up until suicide pact for me to be really interested. primarily due to the fact that a different friend insisted upon coming to my uni (leicester) to see therapy? in a way i had two different friends who introduced me to T? one whom i ignored for many years and one whom i actually listened to. sorry about that rowan. xxx

It was when Dave Fanning played their demo on Irish radio. So probably the first T? song I heard was “Realityfuck”, later to become “Die Laughing”, or “Meat Abstract” or “Dancin’ with Manson”. We listened to those demos a lot as my mate recorded them from the show and they circulated pretty fast amongst our friends.
