They should have got together with soundgarden at the end of there life and toured that would have been a laugh a minute back stage.

They should get Nick Holmes in a clown outfit and have him ride on a unicycle whilst juggling for Comic Releif…

Funniest thing I’ve seen Nick wearing is when an aquaintance of mine twanged a bra at him at the last Bradford gig, and it landed right on his fucking face, mid-song :p

They could make a new Osbournes type program with Paradise lost as the family now wouldn’t that be funny.

But i do like the unicycle idea.

Gregor : “In’t it that poof from t’ Communards?”

Rest assured, they were mercilessly mocked for a long time on their own website because of it.

Is the Bronski Beat song “Small Town Boy”?

That was OK, although a bit dubious choice of cover.

Quite surprised at the negative reactions - I think it’s way better than the last two albums. Plus there are loads of DT/Icon-style bits (the beginning of Over The Madness even reminds me of Lost Paradise!), so for me it’s comparable with their mid-90s stuff.

Yeah it was - I was half expecting to hear ‘west end girls’ or something on the new one.

Some funny stuff on there. I’d choose Icon over DT but DT is great also. The Small Town Boy cover is great and the vast majority of the fans loved it. New album will be great.

Yeah, I was flicking through the pl boards yesterday and nearly pissed myself over the bitching there. No wonder, there are less than 15 regular posters, or something like that. :p

I myself prefer keeping a low profile there and just post on essential topics like ‘now playing’.

Regarding their new album ‘in requiem’, jeffo reffers to it being “very heavy, very dark with lots of double bass drums”.

Sounds good to me. :)

Ya there is alot of bitchin from time to time, some of them take the sarcastic humour a bit too seriously. Check out the Locked Topics thread on the Bitchin part of the forum. I started it and its a fine example of how we all get along hahaha.

Whats your username on there so I can keep an eye out for you.

so then you must be ‘teethgrinder’ over there, right? I’m ‘witherd hand’, but just could be arsed to post 40 massages over the course of two years.

you see, I prefer leaning back, having a coffe and a good laugh on the pl boards…most of the people there are teennage drama queens who just can’t sense sarcasm. :)

Ya i’m teethgrinder, used to use it on the T? board years ago too. More ppl in their 20’s and 30’s on there these days. If you ask me the place is too sarcastic. I’ll keep an eye out for you from now on. :)

And katatonia? They will always stay a pl cover band with a whiny vocalist who can’t sing a note and wrights even worse lyrics. (ok, not always, but most of the time.)

Conclusion: Get all out and buy the newest pl opus magnum :p

Well I disagree with that Jonas Renkse is a whiny vocalist. Great Cold Distance is maybe their best album and the guitars are beautiful and riffs are great. Drumming is astonishing.

But I can surely say that PL has influenced Katatonia. And that isn’t bad thing. :)

Can’t wait ‘til I get the new PL record. The 10th album was promising: great songs but too much similarity. Not a bad record, but something is missing. Catchy tracks but lacks of wholeness.

Just gimme the damn new album!
