Sorry to say this, but after tonights performance I am now sure he is the best ever. He has surpassed Fyfe.

What a fucking machine (even if they did cock up Teethgrinder).

The guy is a fucking legend, its like there is 5 of him behind that kit.

i’ve been thinking exactly the same during the belgian shows last week. neil - that man is a fucking legend! (maniac, machine, whatever, call him what you will)

well. fyfe and neil. again, i don’t really think you can compare them, they both have their own style, but they’re both absolutely the fucking best in what they do. absolutely no hard feelings towards graham hopkins or keith baxter, but fyfe and neil are just the better drummers, they can really lift t?-songs up to a higher level.

Really? I thought the NANE stuff was WAY better. Not that HA wasn’t great, too. I don’t know. I like to judge drummers by how well they write drum beats to go with the songs and… Fyfe and Neil are both incredible- there’s no way one’s better than the other. In saying that, Fyfe was also responsibe for writing many of the best lyrics, not to mention singing and working the samples while drumming, so…

I´ve seen “SuperCooper” three times on stage and I must admit: He´s the man, so damn´ powerful! I would like to add something funny that happened last autumn in cologne. Me and two mates had a beer with T? at the Blue Shell in Cologne after their gig. Sitting there, a friend of mine (for his defensiveness: he was drunk and he´s not a musician) asked Mr. Cooper:

“Neil, what is it like when you play the drums? Is it a kind of meditation?”

I guess I don´t have to add Neil´s answer here…:-)

Neil is brilliant.

Until recently I would have said Dave Lombardo was on his own at the top when it comes to technique , speed and timing , but I think he has some serious competition in Neil these days.

Neil is quick, no doubt. But his style is not that difficult to replicate.

Dave Lombardo is on his own at the top of the ladder.

Remember this though, Neil’s drumming is very similier to Fyfe’s. Dave was great in his day but his thrash drumming is a little dated now, not that I’m saying its bad.

Nobody else think Tim Alexander doesn’t compare to anyone else? There was also a guy drumming for Frank Zappa (on the Baby Snakes DVD), whose name escapes me now, but I was really impressed.

Obviously, John Bohnam doesn’t need mentioned, but I will anyway.

T? have been lucky to have had three great drummers. As time goes by and the more I listen to Semi-Detatched, SPYF and Shameless the more I appreciate how good the Hopper is.

Having said that, when I saw T? live last year, Neil was fucking amazing! I thought he was going to make a hole in his snare.
