just home. cracking gig, but much too knackered from the weekend to really join in in the fun at the front. INteresting setlist, but a bit too much Troublegum.
As for Mr Diamond’s work on Not that kind of girl, fucking fantastic.
Same, my little red-haired purveyor of t-shirts, I think I want you to have my children. :D

Awesome gig. Do think it might be my last.. it’s not doing any wonders for my health (and I’m not talking about mental health, any kind of therapy would not be able to mend that mess) the only T? gig I haven’t been coming home from with massive migraine was the one at het Paard, which is scarily near to my appartment.
Dont think anyone really cares, noone knows me here in the genuine sense of the word, but I dont know.. felt I should say it anyway.
Perhaps it could change, but yesterday I’ve spent 3 hours trying to sleep, but it was undoable. Had to force myself to puke to grant my head the peace to add only one more before the mission accomplished signal.

The tour has stopped for me here… :(
Hope they’ll be back in the Benelux soon :)

Went to Utrecht with my brother and his girlfriend, and what a bloody fantastic gig it was - best one of the Dutch shows (although Groningen came very close, honey :D). Respect to Diamond Dave for his cracking performance on He’s Not That Kind Of Girl and cheers to Andy for the kind words.
Good to see 3ddo-right-in-front-of-the-stage, Ronald and his friends, all the new people I met and of course Andy, Michael, Neil, Dave and last but not least Sam.
Sorry to hear about your health problems, Shade. Hope it works out for the best, because it would be pretty shit if you won’t be able to go to gigs anymore.

Really great show. Fist one I saw during this leg of the tour. On purpose I didn’t read any of the earlier reviews, or setlists. But at least for my own pleasure I’ll post the setlist below.
Fantastic to finally hear Meat abstract live. Also the return of He’s not that kind of girl was appreciated. Fun to have Diamond Dave up there doing some singin and dancing!
The fist half of the setlist was really cool and indeed interesting but as soon as they started playing Potato junkie I knew “oh, and know they’re gonna play Stories and five or-so songs from Troublegum. Which they DID, so that was a bit predictable. Als Diane made a return, after it wasn’t played during the fist leg. Must admit that I enjoyed this arrangement. WAY better than the Andy-solo version I guess.
Hilarious moment was when Andy asked if there was a red light district in Utrecht and refused to play until they could understand what people were yelling. “Just tell us the name of a street!”
And here goes (maybe the same as earlier shows, I realy wouldn’t know):
01 Meat abstract
02 Turn
03 Gimme back my brain
04 This ship is sinking
05 Rust
06 If it kills me
07 Church of noise
08 Hes not that kind of girl
09 Rock you monkeys
10 Perish the thought
11 Polar bear
12 Stories
13 Potato junkie
14 Isolation / Shes lost control
15 Diane
16 Neck freak
17 Teethgrinder
18 Die laughing
19 Screamager

20 Nowhere
21 Knives

It’s just one of those sad realizations you get shoved in your face. I thought I could cope with it, but it only got worse. It wont be a question of ‘will I get better?’ but rather ‘will I be stubborn enough to still go, regardless of consequences?’.
Without answering that’s more drama than you can shake a large pitchfork at. Heh, fuck that. They’ll just have to play more The Hague gigs. Thanks muchly for the kind words. Really. Consideration meets kindness makes my day anytime, even when it enters without hope of reperation.
As for the setlist, yes, it’s great. Only thing I dislike are the large amount of Troublegum songs.. but they’re kind of forced to play those - so nothing to whine about. Except Knives I guess, which ironically I find more than forgivable ;)

Just back in Dublin from late last night after a mad 5-day T? trip around Belgium and Holland…
Fanfuckintastic : rock n roll , too much beer and a complete lack of sleep.
Think Utrecht was one of the better ones I’ve seen the band play as well.
Also nice to meet some old and new people again , and to have a chat with Teethgrinder after the gig.
Looking forward to having a couple of days of detox now and to actually use a bed again as a place to sleep in !

Indeed a fantastic gig. Unfortunately I missed the encores, because at the end of the show I almost faited and couldn’t stand up anymore. A very friendly guy dragged me out of the mob and left me at the side with mrs Balcony.
Recovery was quick after a beer and a chat with Sam. Good memories though. Think I’ll come down from the balcony more often at future gigs :D

A special mention has to go to the somersault stagedive dude , the tall one with the cigarette and green jacket.
When he came very close to knocking over all of Michael’s guitars I really thought the Big Man was gonna throw him some slaps there.
Now that would have been REALLY funny ! :D

This was one hell of a gig indeed! Both the band and the crowd went for it, a night to remember and wouldn’t it be great if Therapy? would be the last band to play in the lovely Tivoli…too bad that venue is closing. Thanks Andy, Michael, Neil and crew for the gigs!
cheers

Yes Robby, didn’t you hear Andy saying during the gig that the venue would be shut down within 2 years? And yes it is true( unfortunately). The “new” Tivoli is already there, nearby the one where Therapy? has played for 4 times now. Hopefully we’ll have 1 or even 2 more gigs there…it’s a shame…I think the new one is called Tivoli de Helling.
Damn, I like old venues!

We were standing more towards Michael’s side, in front of Neil. The guy I am talking about was on the left of us and he was with a black haired girl and a bald guy wearing a bassball cap. That’s all I remember. Between them and us were three young dudes who were having the time of their lives :D
