That one with gemil in head is Lector which was made for him by Lector from Tampere, Finland.

I noticed that he has this new white bodied “surf-guitar” Mosrite “The Ventures”, it looks like this one but does not have crank or arm or what the hell it is called…

And his amplifiers were the same name but somehow I recall that the name started with F…

Then he had one that looked like Gibson Les Paul but it had “f-hole” (or whatever it’s called) on atleast “upperside” of the body, not sure has Gibson made that kind of guitar but it could be someother manufacturers model.

And then he has “bone-white” SG with 3 microphones what he bought in 1998 from Helsinki, Finland. That is the one in cover of Scopophobia DVD.

Maybe Andy himself can shed a light on his guitars and tell the stories of them..? In fact they all should tell about their instruments.

Also, if you’re interested, the les paul shape one is tuned to E, the SG shaped Lector is tuned to C, and the white SG is kept, I think in D (but it could be Dropped D).

A great idea. But we’ll probably have to wait until the next ‘story behind the sings’ is done.

You seem to be doing that a lot recently. I propose a ban on shadows to slip into. *starts to set up spotlights*

I know the story of 2 of his guitars. The one made by Lector… well, you work it out or look it up. The telecaster he used to play, however…

During the early days, Andy played a Fender telecaster. he also used really heavy stings (as he still does). However, he was tuned to E at the time, putting the guitar under reall stress, and warping the neck. Unplayable.

Must have been a very bad neck to warp like that.
How heavy were the strings?
