#

Started by Bad Karma

I was just reading the new issue of Rocksound and T? have a two page interview and at the bottom of the second page it says the single Rock You Monkeys/Polar Bear is out on April 25th.
Hooch or Teethgrinder have you heard any official news about this?

I think this one fits better!!!

By the way, for the promotion of Turkey shows, I received a promo Cd from Eagle Rock. It’s a 2-song Cd including Rock You Monkeys and Polar Bear. It’s not a printed Cd, it’s a copy CD. I think it’s a radio promo CD. And the cover has the same picture with the Turkish show posters I designed. You can check it:

It doesn’t say whether it’s a UK only or Europe release.

According to my brother he said that in Vienna, too.

They had 19 songs written for the album, not sure how many they recorded though. It’s probably mentioned in the diary entries somewhere.

Absolutely no had feelings! You mean that I missed the point? Maybe, could you point that point to me? ;)

I was just referring to what Andy said; “This SINGLE is dedicated to G. Bush”, I would understood if he said that this SONG is bla-bla-bla but that SINGLE mentioned got me confused… But anyways now we know why he was talking about single, ain’t we? :p

I read that bit in Rock Sound too. Isn’t it a bit wierd that a magazine has more up to date information about the band than the official website?

And anyway, I remember reading that there was definitly not going to be any singles for NANE. Could it be just another radio promo like Rise and DLAMF?

Well maybe, but the footer on the article in Rock Sound makes it sound like a proper release. i.e. it gives the date and label.

It says:
“The single ‘Rock You Monkeys/Polar Bear’ is out on April 25th, the album ‘Never Apologise Never Explain’ is in shops now, both on Spitfire.

Hooch, can you find out maybes?

A bit, yes, but not always preventable apparently ;-)

I’ve e-mailed T?’s manager to find out the details.

Cool bananas.

I personally hope it is a proper single, and then it gets some airplay, the public fall in love with it, buy millions of copies, then the Pixies pull out of Reading and Therapy? replace them as Friday night headliners!

Did I go to far?

The Pixies!? Are you mad man? The Pixies are the best band there!? Personally i’d prefer to see Therapy? headlining the concrete jungle stage, i prefer that stage, and i can make it the front, as with the main stage i can’t and i’m small so i can’t see.

But yay to a single! Although i thought it would of been Rise Up if they were going to release one because they did a video for it.

Plebians is indeed the only unreleased song from the album sessions so this would be a logical choice. Perhaps some live-recordings?

A new song would be preferred. Lately I’ve been picking up a lot of T? singles at music fairs, trying to plug a few holes in the collection, and my priority is always songs I don’t have, ie, b-sides, followed by live versions and lastly remixes (which are usually shit). So I’d be a lot more inclined to buy the single if it had a new song.
