Therapy? named three times this week in Kerrang!

In the news section: About the Napster stage at download:

‘We can announce that the Napster stage-sponsored stage headliners will be grindcore pioneers Napalm death, US post-hardcore ledgends Helmet and Northern Irish punk-metal trio Therapy? “We love playing donnington and we’re all dead excited to be playing the spiritual home of metal”, says Therapy? frontman Andy Cairns “Mama, we’re coming home!”

In the review for This is menace album-No end in sight (KKKK).
‘Such rising stars bring a welcome energy-but its the cast of older players who reveal the true scale and scope of ‘No end in sight’. Therapy?’s Andy Cairns does his best black bedtime story teller turn on F8’.

Later in the review:About the track Andy Cairns plays on:
‘Therapy? Irelands own evil elvis had no troubles assimilating himself to the dark vibe of ‘F8’ “I used the starting point of a slow, strange death and took it from there” he reveals. “Jason then useed the strange sounds my fucked-up throat was making to our advantage”

In the planner section for the week ahead:
‘Therapy? all nighter Nottingham Rock city, Saturday 23’
‘A special one off feast of rock action headed by everyones faviroute riff-totting Irishmen. Able support comes from Alabama Thunderpussy, Milliondead and the sufrajets.

I would of scanned them but I didn’t know if that was legal!

NME is shit. They’re going down the shitter pretty quick. Give it a few months and they’ll piss on Bloc Party, Razorlight and the like, just like they did with T? Give it time and the rag will end up like the Melody Maker - dust.

Why oh why do people think it is somehow cool to say Kerrang! is shit?

Just coz you read it when you were young doesn’t mean its no good any more!

Its just a weekly update on what is happening in the rock music world.

If you don’t agree with one viewpoint in it, don’t read that bit again! Music is supposed to be subjective.

Rant over.

Ps. Despite what I just said I don’t work for Kerrang! or anything!

Pps. Maybe I just like Kerrang! coz I interviewed Therapy? for them many moons ago!

I don’t like them because they don’t cover most of the bands that i like.
Their writers are often retarded.
They say nice things to the band in interviews and then completely slate them behind their back, because “its cool” (remember limp bizkit?)
They tend not to devote enough of the magazine to music.
The magazine is waaaay too thin, i like a good big magazine, with lots of interviews, reviews and thoughts on music.
That’s how i can say that i don’t like kerrang…

Also Kerrang does seem to focus largely on the American scene, especially their channel. It’s almost every month they have an American Rock theme. As a result British bands that could have done with the exposure get left out.

But good publicity is welcome all the same.

I’m not a big fan of Kerrang purely because I’m not familiar with most of the bands. I used to buy it every week though, when it covered the bands I liked. I guess I just got older, and my favourite bands broke up (except for the mighty T?). Having said that, I do buy it when the feature T?.

NME sux, and always will.
