That’s a hard one, cause they think they’re ‘artists’ - puupets on a string is the best way to describe them.

Lee from Blue:

His mistake: Telling The Sun that the terrorist attack on the Twin Towers had been ‘blown out of proportion’. The Blue star opined: ‘Who gives a f*** about New York when elephants are being killed? Animals need saving and that’s more important.’

What a fucking star - you didnt really pay attention at school did you Lee?

Well, he does have a point… Maybe not about elephants, but it is hypocritical if taken into account the amout of people that die from, lets say…hunger each day. And elephants are important too… :P

I see you understand me exactly. :D

But seriously. So what if 3000 people die in new york? How many people die each day of hunger, disease, etc? The numbers don´t account for the amount of publicity, pity or shock that it generated.

Now onto the elephants. 3000 people die in one city. In a worldwide population of 6 thoused million (6,000,000,000,000) thats a 0.000000005% drop in the population. A loss of 3000 elephants in a estimated 630000 (6000 african and 30000 asian, and thats pushing the numbers a bit…) is a 5% drop. Thats a bit different.
And the “victims” of the 11th of septembers are responsible. In the way society is responsible for itself. Whereas elephants would not be responsible.
Hum…now I have strange images of elephant boy bands…

You’re right that the numbers who died in the twin towers attack doesn’t account for the publicity. That’s accounted for by the sheer spectacle of seeing two passenger planes crash and explode into one of the landmarks of a Large nation. Sad but true. The towers could have been empty and the act would still have achieved mass publicity, fear, and shock. That, I assume, was the main point of the attack.
Also, I’m dubious about the idea of using statistical significance to back up claims of morality.

Beyond that, it’s not an argumemnt I wish to enter into.

ever climbed out of bed and put your foot straight onto a little carcass of a half eaten mouse that your cat had brought in the night before and left its entrails scattered around the house.

thats about as enjoyable as listening to a boyband album
