It works in extremes. Either I have fuck all to do for weeks on end and I consider killing myself to end the constant nagging boredom (like currently).
Or I sit at my desk for 13 hours a day replaying a single section of a level 200 fucking times to try and recreate a crash while I have 5 test monkey running around asking me stupid questions and 30 developers on my IM wanting bugs regressed and/or explained more closely.
Either manic hair pulling panic or brainrotting boredom.

Yeah, it’s an office, but unless you’re an athlete/actor/whatever, you’re going to spend at least some time in front of a desk. Sad, but true.
What I meant was, at least you never get requests like “so could you re-prioritise your primary action targets in order to put the emergent strategies into focus?”
Having said that, I’ve worked as a cleaner, so I guess there’s worse things, but for most people I can’t see why you’d have to resort to something like being a cleaner for the long term.

Nooooooooo, don’t. Seb, you’re the Colin Farrell of the board. Smoking, promiscous sex and fame are what defines you as a person.
Now go downstairs and buy a pack of Malboro Red

BK, I know where you’re coming from, I’ve been in that position too.
And of course, Andy, Michael and Neil have the best jobs, but I meant out of all the posters.

I do spend at lot of time at my computer, either retouching pictures or simply trying to get hold of a job. And yes, it sometimes gets a bit lonely as I work on my own. But there are good days out shooting. And there are even better days when I can work with beautiful women and the best days are the ones when the above mentioned actually take their clothes off, or I go to a football match.

I’ve been doing this since I quit college about 6 years ago. Started off testing German in games, went on to functionailty testing. Got promoted and then got the job here. It’s almost like a career now.

I’ve worked as a cleaner, and it was a damn sight better than the office job I had working for a debt collectors. Get details of someone who hasn’t kept up their repayments on their cars (I specialised in cars), sending their details through to one of a hundred ‘agents’ positioned around the UK, and knowing, someone, somewhere is being intimidated into giving back their vehicle. *sigh*
Though, there was a cool bit where we investigated an actress who had set up a business but was being awkward repaying loans. I had to collate all the information to send to a report to our mysterious client. It was fun, but SOOO shady.

And it doesn’t happen too often. And to tell you the truth it’s not THAT easy to work with naked or seminaked people, as you have to create a good environment (sp?) for them to feel alright and comfortable and you can’t rush them through a shooting with high speed and you have to focus (no pun intended) on your work. Looks glamourous but it’s a tough one.
