Anyone checked the songs?

My top three:

1. SWITZERLAND - Vanilla Ninja - “Cool Vibes”
2. MOLDOVA - Zdob Si Zdub - “Bunica Bate Toba”
3. NORWAY - Wig Wam - “In My Dreams”

You can download the songs:

I hope you check these bands with no prejudice, especially Norwegian and Moldovan bands..

Wig Wam sounds like Sweet and Slade, their motto is “Rock Is The New Schlager!”

Zdob si Zdub sounds like Kulturshock and Kontrol from Bulgaria, ska - punk with Balkan music inside…

Vanilla Ninja is a rock based pop band…

Terry Wogan is brilliant. I never thought I’d say that, but it’s true.

Hostess: ‘Good evening everybody!!!’
Wogan (commentating): stop shrieking, woman.

Otehr comments: ‘Is it me, or do they all sound the same?’

(when one of the songs finishes) ‘as good a place to stop as any, I suppose.’

‘This next song’s called “come on come on come on…’ Er ‘…come on”’

Lol. Old Tezza sure makes the Eurovision, well, Eurovision. Without him, we’d probably have enthuisiastic hosts, you know, the ones that actually think the music is good.

Terry Wogan is a legend. That is all.

Thank God Belgium was not allowed to enter or the Germans would have had some serious competition for that last place :D

Eurovision lets me know that eurotrash is alive and kicking. If we only had boy and girlbands doing stupid pop songs then it’d be boring. We need the madness.

the guys from Moldova - Zdob si Zdub - started in late 90’ as hardcore band, and became quite popular in Rssia and other CIS countries. They plyed some really nice stuf. They also used to sing in Moldovan, and that made their stuf even better. They used to be very good.
But later they got into some folk stuf and now you see in wghat they have evolved.
