Vertigo by U2 = Isolation by THERAPY?

the pub was too crowdy
the talking was too loud
the jupiler was too much

and suddenly they played isolation
*started flipping already*

nope - nothing - it was vertigo by U2

and then i thought of the “Vertigo by U2 = Sister by THERAPY?”-topic.
man, that bass. it’s the fucking same as Isolation!

*stopped flipping*
*went home to start another thread*

There is a similiarity of the riffs, yes, and U2 might have been inspired by the Joy Division track, but … so what? Are you going to sue them for the use of the E chord?

Hoocha , although I do hate RW with a vengeance , I used to live next door to one of his songwriters ( the one that wrote Angels ) and he is an absolute sound bloke that used to drink in my place occasionally and thus got to listen to a considerable amount of Therapy? So there you go !
