Cheers, Divers! Thanks a lot for the “Rock You Monkeys” article from Kerrang. You´ll receive my return post in a few days. For anyone who´s interested, here´s the Kerrang comment on the video:
“After the advent of MTV 20-odd years ago, you´d think all possibilities for celluloid originality have been exhausted by now. Not so for Irish veterans Therapy?. The latest clip from the indie-punk pioneers proves there is scope for new, fresh and exciting ideas. The video accompanying download-only single “Rock You Monkeys” (a double-A-Side coupled with “Polar Bear”) is a cut-and-paste animation which features the band walking around New York City, strolling past slogan-covered billboards, a Mona Lisa effigy with a hand-held grenade launcher and other such subversive imagery. They later rock out in front of an audience consisting of an over-enthusastic ape. And no, it´s not Andy Cairns. Irony? You betcha. And so on…”
If anyone reads something else on the video, I would love to hear from you. Thanks a lot folks!
