Its good that its pushing for making poverty history and all, but in my opinion the line ups crap. the Only heavy rock band there are velvet revolver. I mean paris get Muse placebo and the cure! Who do we get lumped with, the scissor sisters!

Amen to that. I have to go to a Live8 party tonight. I plan to hide in the kitchen, where hopefully there will be no TV.

I’m being honest here hand on my heart, I didn’t know it was on today, I thought it was soon. The first i knew was when my mum called me in from the garden and said Ricky gervais was on. How dumb am I?

Anyway it’s for a good cause, I’m just not really interested in the music and I fucking hate Bono, I think he is a attention seeking little fuck!

Anyway i’m off down the pub to get pissed for a bit.

I just love the amount of times ‘fuck’ has been said pre-watershed… it’s got to be a record!

I thought Dido was actually OK… everyone else has been rubbish… waiting for velvet revolver.

But, I mean, Pink Floyd… damn! That alone’s gotta be worth it.

Pity we didn’t get Muse, though.

Oh, and I thought Green Day were awful… they’re usually great live, but Billie-Joe was hitting wrong notes all over the place, and that song’s so simple a snail could play it with it’s dick! Gah, dissappointing.

Anyway even though i was a grumpy git about the whole thing. I did see pink floyd and they were absolutly fantastic:D:D:D and the best thing on. I do think Paul McCartney should have been on before them and they close the show.Because as a solo artist his biggest hits have been Mull Of Kintyre and the frog chorus, and his third rate versions of beatles songs didn’t really leave the thing on a high. But we shall wait and see if the whole thing changes anything, but it was a good effort none the less:)

Sting and Velvet Revolver were decent too. VR really are rock and roll thriugh and through. It’s almost like a bad piss-take of a rock band. Almost Spinal Tap. Fantastic.

Just watched a bit tonight as they brought some highlights of all the shows.

It seemed to me that this was just a piece of crap giving some artists the excuse to do something good.

By the way, Velvet Revolver sounded awful (as did their Rock am Ring performance they showed last week on German telly) and it was a shame to see Brian Wilson in a state even Ozzy hasn’t reached so far.
