Music DVD’s

#

Started by Divers (Simon)

I’ve not really been a massive DVD collector but I have got into buying Music DVD’s of live gigs.
My fav’s so far are
Led Zepplin
Portishead-NYC
White stripes-Black pool
Bad religion- Suffer tour
Pearl Jam- Square garden one?
( i can’t remember the names of the dvd’s)
and AC/DC - stiff uppa Lip
Living end- a live gig all the videos and a 1 hour doco (well worth the money)
and Of course the Therapy? one!
So if there are any recomendations let me know:)

I have all the metallica ones, S&M is good I like the idea and it’s a great gig but it’s sadly Metallica at a flat point in there cerear.

The best live thing I have by them is on the live shit binge and purge DVD on the justice tour now that is a fucking great gig and Lars can actually drum at that gig.

The Nine Inch Nails one - ‘all that could have been’ is really good.

Alice In Chains - Unplugged

The Pantera 3 in One is good for a laugh and pretty decent value for money

My bro bought me the NIN one - it is good but a bit too much strobey action so you don’t actually see much.

Tenacious D - The Complete Masterworks is my favourite music DVD (sorry, T?)

I have these, they’re great, so is Pearl Jam’s Touring Band 2000, and Live at the Showbox (a Riot Act Tour warm-up show, where Eddie cuts loose on the impending war). The one in NY is simply “Live at the Garden”.

Bad Religion’s supposed to have a new DVD out in Sept/Oct, from a show last year. Greg Graffin said it was a 12 camera shoot, will have digital sound..should be good.

Fugazi’s Instrument is really cool (watch Guy Piccolito sing while hanging upside down from a basketball hoop)

I didn’t mind the NIN dvd it’s a bit over produced but saying that I haven’t seen them live since the pretty hate machine tour and that was harsh. It could well be a reproduction of them live.

I forgot my pixies DVD if fucking awesome, i was always a fan of there ealier stuff anyway.
and the Jeff buckley one is also a very good live dvd.

That is the most boring dull thing i have ever watched !!!

They are the most humourless band in existence !!!

Well worth it, you also get a second CD of the American mix of the album, which is better than the original.

I’m with this man. The concert is good, the on the road thing and the story of the pixies is worth it alone. There promo vids are worth seeing as some of them are really shit.
