i find it very uneven. besides from a couple of tracks, this album does nothing for me. the album is too slow.. where are the aggressive, angry, fast, mad, experimental, punkish tracks with some attitude? it’s not therapy? the way i like them. i guess they have moved on.. gone soft rock’n’roll. but not all is bad, far from it. the good songs that are on it are amazing, some of the best songs they’ve ever written in my opinion (dance, joey and stalk & slash). especially dance and joey are great..

I think, it is a great album. But T? won’t get the attention, that they deserve for their work. People just want Troublegum or MTV’-compatible music like Nu Metal or Blink 182. But who cares? As long as they come touring, and doing a good show…

I can’t believe that some of you like Shameless. Do you really think that it’s ok, or you ‘re just pretending that you like it? There were Therapy? albums that i didn’t really like before (like Infernal Love) but these were at least interesting, while Shameless is just so fucking boring and safe. Apart from four or five songs the rest of the album is so average…Jesus, and i didn’t like SPYF, compared to Shameless Suicide Pact is a masterpiece.

Suicide Pact is a masterpiece by itself. But that’s just my opinion.

And that’s the key here.

Of course it’s good and obvious that people are talking a lot about Shameless right now. And everybody has it’s own opinion. Just like yourself. Saying that you can’t believe that someone likes it, when a person says so, is a bit weird. I could say the same thing about your opinion on Suicide Pact.

I like Shameless a lot, by the way.

Oh, and welcome back ;-)

I have to say that I really love Shameless (Does that make me a bad person..? ;o) , I liked it from the first moment. On SP-YF it took some time to get ‘used’ to it but after a while I thought it was a masterpiece…

I have always loved the bands music, the only two tracks I hate (hate is too heavy word though) is Nausea and Teethgrinder because the band has played them too much.

Is it me or what, but I think that Grahams drumming is now truly brilliant… I really think that he has improved much. Tight but loose as said from mighty John Bonham. What do you all think?

yeah graham is great, he has more of a groove compared to fyfes machine gun beats. they are my 2 favourite drummers but i’ll never decide who i like best. are there any fellow drumbos here?

I prefer Fyfe, although Graham’s drumming has really improved - especially on Suicide Pact. But it has to be said, Graham’s drumming on Fyfe’s songs is abysmal, especially the likes of Teethgrinder, Screamager, Nowhere, Die Laughing…I could go on. And, I REALLY, REALLY hate that crap ‘ding-a-ling-a-ling’ symbal that Graham now uses a lot; anyone know what it’s called? You know the one I’m talking about?

I’m really not dissapointed with Shameless. My favs are: Tango Romeo, Theme From Dolorean, Joey, Dance and Wicked Man. This One’s For You is easily the best. Awesome!
Only time can tell how I feel about it in a couple of years. So far my top 3 T? albums are in no danger of Shameless…
Oh, doesn’t the opening of ‘Alrite’ riff really sound like Foo Fighters’ ‘Stacked Actors’? I think so…

Yeah Baby I finally Have Shameless!!!! wooo-hooo!!!

i am the money finally makes sense!! Even though i think its the worst track on the album.

Stalk and slash and gimme back my brain are the best.

The only thing i hate is that the artwork is arse and copying a take that album!!! Long story, basically i was flicking through my Girl friends CD collection and found a Take that CD (disgust) but whats this? the members are sat in a near identical pose on the exact same colour chairs? as the shameless artwork freaky, i never imagined Ronan Keating and Andy to be the same?? I think the album was called on down the Road or by the road?

check it out in a shop somewhere if you dont believe me…

I like Shameless but not as much as any of the previous albums.
They aren’t as vicious or angry as on the other albums. I still think it wipes the floor with anything else coming out at the moment.

Favourite tracks are:
Endless Psychology
Gimme back my brain
I am the money
and This one’s for you.

I heard some people saying that recording it in America was a mistake,
what does anyone thing about that?

Euh… no, in fact I think it’s the worst song on the entire album…

But hey, there has to be at least one song that sucks… (except on the Troublegum album, where you only have killer tracks)…

Am I the only one who thinks that the style of BBG is very ‘Marilyn Manson-ish’? It strongly reminds me of a song like Disposable Teens!

i thought it would be only fair that my first comment in godknowshowlong be about the new album.

are you ready

here it comes

it kicks reasonable ass

i think its a pretty good effort. ok its not another nurse or troublegum, but its better than semi or suicide pact. it may have recieved heavy criticism but there are some excellent songs on that album namely i am the money and stalk and slash.

is anyone else wrecking their brains trying to work out what the ‘no more drugs for this young man’ sample is from? my mate sez he thinks its dr hibbert from the simpsons, or andy trying to do an imprssion f him.

Body Bag girl is okay. I can’t see a MM connection, but besides the Joey thing I mentioned, stalk and slash reminds me a bit of the bloodhoundgang’s ‘kiss me where it smells funny’.

@Michael
The drum beat from Body Bag Girl is a little Glam-Rock-Style
like Suzi Quatro (does anyone know this fu+ing singer from the 70’s?).
Even Mr. Marylin Manson has ‘stolen’ it in Disposable Teens or The Beautiful people.

i think the new album falls right in the middle of t? releases… better than I.L and SD, but not as good as Troublegum, Nurse, and SP-YF…

but then again, 6 months from now all of us could be singing a different tune… it took me almost 6 months to really appreciate SP-YF…

and I like Body Bag Girl… that with Stalk & Slash and This One’s For You are my top 3 right now…

Well i have to say something
first, i have met again T? after so much time and i am really happy
cos i needed this wave of insanity and those boys have helped me in give my brain away
second, the CD in my opinion needs several hours of listening.
At first i thought it was only garbage, i was disappointed…
But after 2 days i am proud of the Cd i have bought.
I like Gimme back my Brain and This one is For you
Body Bag Girl rocks too
this my 2cents

I mean it’s a hell of a song and it will surely show it’s power live. Anyway, the other really good songs would be Dance and Tango Romeo.
