Started by allroy in Other Bands & Artists

Her new album Extraordinary Machine has been held back by her record company though it’s finished since May 2003. It’s a shame as it’s brilliant. The music reminds me of Tom Waits.

Emi aren’t that much better but they are at least friendlier, they just don’t care anymore about people with talent and go for the easy money creating pretty little bands with shite music that they can puppet for there own gain and have no opinion of there own and are too dumb to care. They have a life span of about a year and make enough money so that they don’t have to go back to there self stacking job at tescos for another month. While the people in the big offices are back slapping each other over what they are bringing and infecting the music of today with, unaware that we could all live better lives if they just left us to it. :mad::mad::mad:

No they all pretty much suck, universal seem to be better at leaving some of there artists to get on with it but majors are majors.
And american is part of Sony and Island is part of Universal.

I’m surprised her label aren’t releasing the album when artists like Norah Jones are doing so well and there is a strong piano presence on so many of these songs.
