Therapy? and Anthrax, up for it?

#

Started by matthew

I still remember the time I got caught up in the rollingstone website and looked at an interview of Anthrax in video format and noticed how much Charlie Benante and Scott Ian really enjoyed seeing therapy? at Ozzfest.

I think it wouldbe great if these two bands did something together on tour. I know that one of the members of therapy? likes Anthrax although I can’t remeber which one.
Anthrax is more fun and not as dark and serious as Megadeth or Metallica so I think it would work out okay for therapy?

So what do you guys think? It’ll be a first… ;)

That’ll be a good show, though no doubt Anthrax would be headlining.

What he said.

I respect what The Belladonna era ‘Thrax did and their contributions to the art of the heavy sound but John Bush is a much better frontman, IMO. The writting is better and more coherent and the performances are much stronger and solid on the Bush era Anthrax albums.

I’d see the show regardless, but if it was the Bush era Anthrax I’d be all “WHOOOOOO!!! T? and ‘Thrax!! This is gonna be a killer show!”. Seeing as it would most likely be the “reunion” Anthrax at this point, I’b be all “So, when’s T? hit the stage?”.

Yeah, so many people are not kken on this reunion thing that’s going on, but I damn well know just as well you folks do that Dan Spitz is the best guitarist that Anthrax have ever had… He actually plays the solos properly unlike Caggiano. I’m hoping Dan will put in a good effort in the next studio outing.
On John and Joey, Joey can sing live and John really battles and because his vocal range is so limited the old songs don’t sound as varied as they are if JOey sings them.
Hey, just my opinion. :)

I consider myself ANTHRAX fan, heh, but even I got the old and new ANTHRAX albums, listen to new ones only, “Attack Of The Killer B’s” included. I know, I know, some of the fans can’t stand “new” ANTHRAX and stopped listening to them when Joey got kicked out. I attended ANTHRAX reunion show, and it was good, but I hoped all the way that they’d play one of the “Bush-era” songs, but they didn’t. Crap.

Hope they bring back John back. As for Dan and/or Rob, I really don’t know. Don’t know why Dan got out of the band, but I red somewhere that all this time since he left ANTHRAX, he dedicated his life and time to - watches! Im not kidding! He became “master of watches”, something like that… Weird, eh?

Anyways, check out this poor SOUND OF WHITE NOISE review:

Maybe he should switch to drums since he’s become a master of keeping time ;)

Sadly it doesn’t look like john bush will be going back he gave an interview a few weeks ago and said he was told the reunion was only for a few months do get some interest in anthrax again, but as they are now talking about doing an album with joey andd dan he says that he has nothing more to do with them:( the last tour with John Anthrax sounded the tightist and heavyist they had ever sounded and the songs with bush have been awsome. I don’t ever see joey singing fueled he hasn’t the voice or the balls!

i saw anthrax twice with bush, in london on the volume 8 tour and in new york on the we’ve come for you all tour. both shows easily rank in the top 5 shows i’ve been to and i’ve been to a hell of allot of shows!

a thrax & T? tour would be fucking awesome but yeah, i dont think the thrax can pull of the energy of the live shows with joey & dan.

That’s a real shame! It was the John Bush Anthrax that got me into the band. This reunion tour held absolutely no interest for me.

Never thought I’d say this, but VOTE BUSH!!

Stomp 442 got bad reviews? I love that album.

It’d be great to see Anthrax and T? play together, but I’d rather see it at a festival or something rather than a club gig.
