Europe 94

I just won this bootleg CD on ebay, but the seller gave no description of it besides the fact that it’s a factory produced CD. Does anyone have it?

That could be any bootleg, there were a lot of them around that year I think, practically all well-known are from European gigs, right?

Nope, don’t think it’s ‘Good Fuckin Night’ cos the seller showed the front cover which is a picture of the band with ‘Europe 1994’ written on it. I have ‘GFN’ and it has no pictures of the band, just a stupid question mark cover. I think the Donington gig is on it, though. Once I get it I’ll let you know.

Sounds like the Live In Europe CD. I think it’s something like 16 tracks, plus the 2 tracks from the Merry Fucking Xmas 7’.

Brendon, the bootleg you mentioned which has the Have a Merry Fucking Christmas tracks at the end is called ‘Who did this?’ if I’m correct, and I really want it!

Can anyone help me with that? Or, yet again, the HAMFC original, which I still don’t have!

Yes, the one with Teenage kicks and with or without you is who did this. I’ve got it, the quality is really bad compared to other bootleg. I also think that the europe 94 bootleg is donington.

You’re probably right. I wasn’t able to bring my CDs with me when I moved, so I don’t have them all yet. I can make people CD-R copies if they want when I do have them, but like Christian said, the audio quality is mostly crap.

I mean ‘bootlegs’ of course, I hate when that happens, a kingdom for an edit function.

The problem with ‘who did this’ is, you need to turn down the whole bass or else you have some awful noises coming out of your Cd-player, except if you listen to it with headphones. Or maybe just because of my CD-player.

It’s not your CD players, the bootlegs are just shit. The best ones are Isolation, No Love Lost and Fistful of Power in terms of sound quality.

you think so??? i think dead laughing is by far the best, followed by shock treatment… (in terms of sound quality…)

Got the ‘Europe 94’ CD and here’s what’s on it;
- the full Donington 94 gig (the same recording as on ‘Fistful of Power’ except not as edited, therefore slightly longer)
- two songs (Turn & Unbeliever) from Glasgow 5/4/94 (a fuller and better quality version of this gig is on ‘Good Fuckin Night’)
- a gig from Milan recorded early 93 (the sleeve says it was 94 but it can’t be ‘cos none of the songs are from Troublegum) the quality of this is pretty good considering it’s from from an audience recording.
The sleeve looks very professional (unlike GFN or Who Did This), kind of like those Italian KTS bootlegs (No Love Lost etc…).
Overall, it’s a pretty good bootleg, apart from those two Glasgow tracks.

best sound quality is Isolation imo, shock treatment has pretty clear, but to thin sound. But Dead Laughing is also very good, although the sound of some song (e.g. Trigger inside) could be better.

I haven’t heard Dead Laughing so I couldn’t comment on that one. Anyone else think it’s odd that the same songs appears up to 3 times on the Isolation bootleg?
