Well, this is a great and ambicious idea.

First :
- Find an underground name for your label.

Second :
- Build a website. Official of course.
- Specify as well what you look for, what you want and what you want to do.
- Be very very opened-mind.
- Be very very cool. Anyway stay cool. Cooler than your cool is.
-Invite all of the bands to put their music on your website mail exchange box.
- Listen to their music as better than you can. Listen to the music a few times. Appreciate it.
- Meet yourselves and talk.
- Organise some sessions where they could play. Let’em rock.
- Then, you’ll put some pieces of the music on your website.
- Discuss with the bands about beautiful jackets.
- Why don’t you inspire yourself of “Factory Record” ?
- If some people come to you to talk about business with you, fuck them. Why didn’t they have been first? So, it’s not your problem.

Third :
- Be a rebel multifuck soul. Stay it.

Everything will be cool.

cheers guys, that last site was really good!!!Theres a few bands round here we really like, and no labels ever look up here.Theres another mini label just set up, but there only are interested in art-rock-prog stuff(yawn)…we want balls out rock. We’re thinking about setting up a design thing, sell posters and what not to fund it, then maybe a mini-sampler cd, as well as fund raiser gigs. This was just a drunken idea the other night, but it could get interesting…hmmm…”To the bat mobile!”

From what I’ve heard - it involves you spending a lot of time and energy for very little financial reward…

But fuck it - if you love doing it then go for it,

once my band is up and running preoperly, you can have us - as long as there’s a reasonable rate of return!
