The link didn’t work but I searched Helmet and they’ve got 4 albums - which do you recommend?

My favourite is Betty cause it is the first Helmet album I got, Then either Meantime or Aftertaste, Strap On is a really early album and is nowhere near the quality of the other three!
Meantime is really heavy and quite raw sounding but an awesome album all the same - Aftertase is their last album and probably a little easier to get into.
They were a fantastic band and i have heard somewhere that they might reform.

Is it better than 3? that was the last one I bought - i steered clear of the last one cause 3 was so bad… are they actually doing something interesting and is he still going on about his dead stepson?
I was gonna give this a wide berth - but I have heard a few people mention that it isnt that bad

Are we talking Roots era Sepultura or Beneath the Remains / Arise era?

well, it’s around the classical Soulfly sound with Beneath The Remains and Arise influences…
by the way, it’s the best album in 2005 and the second best album by Soulfly. (nr.1 is the debut album)

Max’s best stuff was with Sepultura, end of. Soulfly albums are full of guests and that takes something away from Max.

I liked ‘soulfly’ and I liked primitive also (I think its their best).
3 was great in parts, prophecy was alright and dark ages seems alot heavier than previous releases, which is a good thing.

The first was ok but Against, same time Sepultura with new sign, was better. Heard the second, have it, won in a contest, just one time really crap. Seps had a problem with Slayer at the time and guess who was Max guest? Arraya. I did not pay any attention to the band since then. Max was going to foward in the new metal stuff. Sepultura kept up with a few good albuns. From these, as a remark, I would pick Revolusongs.
Most of the people here in Brazil have Max as a puppet for his wife - in a Ozzy/Sharon relationship.
