Me First and the Gimme Gimmes and Reading Festival

#

Started by Joel (Joel Wreford)

Well I’ve had a great day. Just found out the Gimme Gimmes have cancelled their show in London and me and my girlfriend should have left for Reading Festival a couple of hours ago but we’ve lost our tickets!

Great! There’s £300 down the drain. And probably another £500 if we want to buy new ones from a tout.

Fuck you world!!!

They have to cancel all shows from September 4 onwards because a family member of Fat Mike’s has got cancer.

The shows should be rescheduled next April (according to a German music magazine).

Well me and my girlfriend bought new Reading tickets on the door to make it the most expensive festival we’ve ever been too. But it was fanfuckingtastic so who cares!

About the Gimmes, the reason for them cancelling seems a bit strange seeing as I just saw NoFX at Reading. Fat Mike was there so why couldn’t he come in September? And it does seem to be cancelled as opposed to postponed. Arse.
