I know that there was a special sample (from a TV show or something like that) in that song. There happened a permission and royalty problem because of that sample.

That’s what I know.

It was definitely played live, I remember them playing it. No clue how it went though :)

So, this is when bands need to start creating their own samples. Or use royalty free samples. Do what Devin Townsend does, record weird Japanese TV shows while on tour and use those in songs. He never pays, he has no idea what it is he recorded! Hahaha.

Acording to my dads mate alot of Dj’s use japaneese cult films to provide samples and dont pay as the chances are the people behind the japenese films never hear the songs and even if they do most indy film companies arent bothered.

Devin Townsend has them all over his shit, usually real low in the mix best picked up with really good studio headphones, but when just listening through normal speakers or whatever it just sounds like weird noise.
