Well, when I still lived at home my mom was always going through my records to find new stuff and one day I came home she was ironing to the tunes of Trigger Inside: You have never seen anything like it, Troublegum makes her go fast, so I guess I just ” have to” take my laundry back to her with a High Anxiety copy on top, good trade!, other bands she likes are Rammstein,dEUS,Metallica…the only thing is that she drinks wine instead of beer, I am working on that one…

The single finally turned up yesterday! And IIKM truly rocks - not so sure about Rust, but Mama is also brilliant.

Ahem, anyway, put it on, and got to the end of IIKM, when my nephew goes ‘play it again’. He’s 2 years and 3 months - does this make him the youngest T? appreciator (fan’s probably too strong a word just yet). He also had a good boogie, as far as any 2 yo can.

Of course, his mother then goes ‘turn his crap off’. But then, she’s been in a bad mood since August 2000.

Lolol, my daughter is 17 months and she too likes to have a dance when T? are played. On the new album she really likes Not In Any Name and Rust, she’s really into the heavy stuff. I took her to see my mate’s metal band (http://www.eborsisk.co.uk ;)) and she absolutely loved it

Shortly after that I bought a thrash album by a band called Sabbat (anyone else ever heard of them?)

Yes, I still like Sabbat. Have got their first two albums, “History of a Time to Come” and “Dreamweaver”. Martin Walkyier left to form Skyclad, but has just started playing live again with Return to the Sabbat.

Dunno what this should mean…

My sister didn’t like them at first, untill I played Troublegum soo much that she knew the songs through and through. Since then I was allowed to take that cd in her car, I now gave her my old copy of troublegum :D
She liked a few songs of Infernal Love… but the trick didn’t work… I tried the same trick with Nurse, but I think I played it too loud… she kicked all my cd’s on the floor

My mom … doesn’t complain much, she sings along some troublegum songs, and a while ago I cought here singing Rise Up, but I don’t know if she also likes those songs. She does like the acoustic Therapy? songs.
I watched a Therapy?-video with my mom a few weeks ago, I thought she was sleeping, but all of a sudden she said, “That guy (Michael) is jumping constantly!?”
The only Therapy? record I know she doesn’t like is Shameless… She says Andy’s whining on that record :(

After years of me going to the gigs, my parents decided to give it a bash. They are heavy concert goers so that didn’t in itself surprise me, but meeting my dad in the pit at the front after 5 songs did. Go Dad!

My mum likes Die Laughing and other bits of Troublegum - but then again she got me into this kind of music with the Black album all those years ago, how cool!

Haven’t met anyone who likes SP…YF yet though!!!!

Bless ‘em, I love them to bits, but I won’t be sneaking any text messages to them next time I’m at a loss for an answer in the music round of a pub quiz :D

My parents aren’t that bothered. They like what they like and know that I’m a massive T? fan, hence the two tattoos I’ve got. They know I love my music, some that they can’t stand (then again, that’s natural).

And yes, I’ve heard of Sabbat, a British thrash band that had passed me by when they were around. If I come across their stuff, I check it out.

Actually I “had a T?-concert at home” every day
for a while so my mother was wondering during
“Gimme Back My Brain”…who´s that man screaming??
…”Does His stomach hurt or is it the teeth´s`??”

Once she saw them, she would love to make some
dinner for mr.Andy, (Which she thinks is Bono!:D)
Especially after hearing that Andy is a “Virgo”
too as She is when talking about “Star Sign”…:D

So, Andy…Whenever You´re ready my mother
will make U the heaviest dinner U ever had
in your Rocking-life!!!!;-))))))))

“Give, Give, Him Back His Stomach”;)

Cheers :p

They will learn the error of their ways in time, have no fear!

When I was a kid I listened to Run DMC religiously (oh the shame!)

I now play guitar in a rock covers band, have a seriously rock-heavy CD collection and saw a kick-ass Motorhead gig last week, so you see, it can all change given time!

That’s what I said. Never did get an explanation, he just said ‘I never thought you’d like this rubbish music’ and how he ‘hadn’t realised he had a stupid child’.

But then, his entire CD collection is all this twanky sitar stuff (he’s Indian), except for ‘Best of The Shadows’, which I bought him.

Strangely, have never played him ‘Potato Junkie’…

Nothing wrong with the twanky sitar stuff especially when the tablas kick in at about 18 minutes…LOVE IT!
