Like em? Hate em? I’m down the middle with these guys. Got some of their albums but find most of their work kind of boring. Although Dave Grohl can quite often figure out some good melodies. I don’t know their just not that groundbreaking are they?? And if Dave wasn’t a part of Nirvana, would anyone care about this band?

I thought there first two albums were really good and the colour and the shape had great production and great songs. Also around this time there live shows were very intense. But the next two albums were very very dull, i didn’t mind the last album but it’s still not very exciting. I was a fan of his in the band scream as there stuff was cool and the probot album i really enjoyed.

So you’ve seen them live? You lucky fish!
What do you mean they were intense? I hope they didn’t jump around and try to be crazy as hell like Slipknot!

I saw them back in 1997 in some small venue and they just played very hard and looked like they wanted it more back then, Dave Grohl was screaming his bollocks off into the mic. They had a bit more of a punky sound compared to the big rock stuff they do now. It was just a very loud hot and brilliant gig.

I haven’t got their latest album, but I managed to get tickets for their show in Brussels in approx. 2 weeks.

I’m not a fan, but I quite like several songs they have done, especially from the early albums. So I hope it’ll be a good gig and that they can convince me to buy their latest record.

self titled - is great loads of great songs big me stands out as one of the best they’ve ever done , too me anyway

the colour + the shape - one of the best albums of the 90’s tottaly amazing , monkey wrench , everlong and my hero , just some of the best songs ive ever heard

theres nothing left to lose - patchy some really good tracks though , a big dip following the colour + the shape , breakout, new year great tracks

one by one - not to keen on this , a couple of good songs but nothing worth getting excited about , times like these amazing

in your hounour - 1st disc is awesome plenty of great songs best of you , the last song , d.o.a . great. 2nd disc probably only played it once lol so cant really judge it

and ive seen them live twice , 1st time i thought they were pretty poor as the sound quality was terrible but 2nd time in cardiff millenium stadium was awesome ,really good stuff .

the first album is great, but the only thing i’ve liked since then was “all my life”. They’re too ordinary i think. Dave Grohl seems like a lovely chap though. :D

Can’t stand ‘em. Songs irritate me. Fall in that irritating mainstream American rock category that always seems to be fond of chords and melodies that make me sick. And Grohl’s voice is horrid.
Although, the metal-ish song on the debut’s cool, and Walking After You is nice.

Ha! :p
Walking After You is by far the worst song on the otherwise excellent “Colour and the Shape”. Opinions, eh?

I have to say , I think February Stars is boring too! But Colour and the Shape is their best album, true. The new stuff is just dull.

it’s like we have the same mind…the reason those shows were so intense and great is cos they didn’t have the other shitty albums to play songs from!!! Have seen them 4 times but the show after the release of the colour and the shape was by far the best!! They’ve played here twice over the last couple of years and I’ve passed…

I like ‘em. However, The Colour and the Shape, while it has probably my some of my favourite FF songs, as an album overall is my least favourite.
