Therapy? in Kerrap

#

Started by rickman

I haven’t bought Kerrap magazine for a while but on the studio diary it says that there may be a feature on Therapy? in the January 25th issue. Was it in this issue? If so was it any good? If not does anyone know when T? might be covered in the future?

So many questions, so few answers!

But I have no idea if it’s in, sorry.

It wasn’t in the issue that Michael suggested it may be in, try looking out for a copy this Wednesday - you may get lucky.
Why have they stopped doing Therapy? posters in magazines????

It obvious that they’re printing bands that weren’t in the 90’s - T?, Sepultura, all them bands.

Kerrap?? Are you crazy! That magazine was one of the best aspects of living in England when I was there! Who would complain about a weekly magazine?!?! In the US we get them once a month, or bi-monthly and by the time they come out there’s nothing in them that we haven’t already read online.

Fine, the interviews are new, but 99% of the reviewers out there ask the same damn questions so if you’ve read one you’ve read them all. I’d kill to have Kerrang! released here each week.

Let that be a lesson to us all.

I don’t know what it’s teaching us, to be honest, but we should all keep it in mind, nonetheless.

No. no we would not.

Lies. It amazes me that anyone could even begin to complain! This is like assholes here in the US complaining about how we have to live. Go live in Korea, then, and then complain about how you have to live in the US.

“Don’t know what you got ‘till it’s gone.” Cinderella said it best! :) When you have no magazine to read, see how it is then.

But in Kerrang, 99% of the interviews are to the same bands!

“So Ville Valo, have you bought a jumper today? no? ok, same time next week?”

I don’t read Kerrang anymore, and I feel much better for it, thank you. :)

I buy it, but because I discovered almost all my favourite bands (including Therapy?) through it, and am still holding out for more bands I could disover through it. Sadly, looking back, it was shit when I started buying it (2002) and it’s even worse now. Someone wrote in this week requesting an interview with My Chemical Romance. WHAT? Have the last twelve months of their ever-presence not been enough?

Still, I’m in the age bracket they appear to be aiming at, so who am I to complain? Guess I oughta start just listening to My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Trivium and Aiden *Spits on floor* non-stop. Sorry, I get very pissed off by this. I really hate my generation.

Now I read the NME and occasionally Rock sound. NME is a seriously flawed magazine though, but still features some great new bands.

Kerrang has gone down hill but yes all you see in it now is: Green Day, MCR, HIM, Fall Out Boy and its becoming tired. Towards the late ’90s its been a bit poo. Noticed Therapy? weren’t in Kerrang yet again this week. :(

the only reason i ever used to but kerrang or nme was because of the gigs section. the rest of it was always flavour of the month type nonsensery. unless it had the manics on the cover. i’d rather read the yellow pages backwards.

Apparently if you do the whole thing, you summon James Nesbitt. But I’ve never tried it.

Kerrang served as a useful tool in the mid 90’s for discovering good bands. It began to nosedive for me as I got older. I think you pin down in your own mind what music you enjoy, and the fashions then change around you - I was like a jack russel in a curtain shop when I first heard the darkness because I thought a new wave of balls out dirty cheesy ROCK was about to descend.

Didn’t happen though.

I’m going now to pierce my ears with a tractor tyre and gel my hair down over my left eye, buy a studded belt and sweatbands for my wrists then roll my girlfriend a fresh tampon and write a song about why my Daddy won’t buy me a pony.

I gave up on kerrang a while ago ‘cos they stopped having bands I cared less about. Some of the metal magazines like terrorizer and that are quite good but it’s easier to just go on the internet innit?

Try looking in the Yellow Pages, under Unwanted Celebrities. Apparently you can get good cash from some people.
It’s better to do it sooner rather than later, too. He’s well known for running up huge phone bills otherwise.

Sarah, you could always just try reading the Yellow Pages backwards yourself. I expect thre’s plenty of Nesbitt to go round.
And who knows, it may cure Dan’s little problem. Not that problem; I mean the Nesbitt problem. Though maybe there’s a link…

Classic Rock and Rock Sound are good. I buy Kerrap occasionally. I can’t understand the bitching about it. Don’t read it if you don’t like it! Though I do admit there’sd not that much worth reading in it anymore! Why are HIM always on the cover - they suck!
