shameless revisited

Started by satanslittlehelper in Therapy? Buy, Sell & Trade

Now shameless has been out for a while i think we can look at it with a bit more perspective. how does everyone feel about it now? personally i dont think its a patch on SP_YF but is still a good rock album. what tracks are your favorites now? mine are this ones.. tango romeo and delorian. favorite song live?

The only one that wasnt a surprise was Troublegum and that was only because of the amount of material on there that had already been aired.

I think its a credit to them that they dont make exactly what you expect them to !!! Hence I would agree that after a little time, it is another classic Therapy? album.

I still think that SHAMELESS really rocks and the first five songs are beneath the best tracks Therapy? have ever recorded. I still can’t stand ‘Alrite’…

overall though i agree that i like the fact that every album has a different sound, and to be honest, i think it’s impossible to expect all of us to love every different sound they come up with… therefore i like the album for the difference in sound and for a couple of songs, but overall it’s not one of my favourite t? albums…

It was made even more dissapointing by the way they evolved between there earlier albums so nicely. The things that dissapointed me most are firstly the song structures and guitar is poor some of those solo’s are almost embarrassing to listen to. On top of that theres no killer track kicking off the album like epilepsy or knives or Church of Noise, and finally the album just ends theres no climax like in previous efforts, no disturbing little message. All in all i hope they try a lil harder next time.

IMO Joey and This ones for you are my fave tracks they are also great live, but overall the whole album is gd and can stand up live as they played most of it at the Mandela hall a few weeks ago.
Although its not a great intro to someone just starting to listen to T? as its quite a bit diff from their other stuff.

Hopefully, they’ll be able to make the next record a bit less clean and straightforward, which Shameless IMO is too much.
