Wall of Mouths

To be fair, I’m not bothered by them, but I know a lot of people who love them. I like a few songs, and there are far, far worse bands out there. So I said ‘no’.

Now wasn’t that interesting?

It’s sunny but snowed earlier… (???)

I probably ought to, but my knowledge of my own city is pretty limited :p My list of ‘places’ is Reveal Records, the Vic Inn and First Floor, other than that there’s not much to appeal to me :)

Haha, I went somewhere on Friday which had a ‘rock room’ which was full of kids in HIM hoodies singing along to generic pop-punk crap, and then had a ‘leather lounge’ which was playing Simply Red when we got there… for some reason, we stayed with Mick Hucknall in the leather lounge :( Ended up sat in the corner singing the end of ‘Getting It’ by the Wildhearts… No idea of the name though, just somewhere down Sadlergate, methinks.

Nah, Bluenote’s one of the few places I know it wasn’t… or was it, come to think of it? I really don’t know :( I’ll ask someone else who was there… The thing was (and this always happens whenever I go to parties or go anywhere) I ended up sat in the corner discussing music with my mates, it always happens, we’re just cut off from everyone else :D

Get Maybe I’ll Catch Fire and Good Mourning, they’re pure genius.

I really think Alkaline Trio are a great band, I think I play Good Mourning more than any of their others.

I got the new project by the singer the other day “Heavens” i’m really liking the album… it’s sort of Alkaline Trio who have been listening to too much Joy Division and Interpol. Worth Checking out if that sort of thing appeals to you.:)

Earlier this year they were pretty good at their gig in the Ambassador in Dublin. Very young crowd though , so not only did I feel very old but the fact the place didn’t serve alcohol made it even worse.

One thing I remember though is that their support band was the worst I have seen EVER.

But I’ll admit some songs are ok. But, just my opinion, nothing special.
