Get behind Therapy? now!

#

Started by matthew

From what I hear the band used to be pretty big at one stage and then had some issues with record deals and promotion and all that stuff. Therapy? are hardly ever spoken about on the net, magazines, television and in my country they sure arent played on the radio.
I dont know why the music press such as metal hammer are so stupid that they hardly give the most vital bands such as Therapy? any deserved press.
I think as Therapy? fans we can make a difference!
Some ideas:
Get the new bloody album! Get drunk and headbang your arse off!
Some of you say you cant find NANE and other records? Well here you go 101cd.com you can already preorder the new therapy? album from them at a great price, so get on it. Most of their other albums are there too plus some rarities and goodins.
I dont know about you but Ive tried emailing magazine editors and quite often I get a reply! I even became a penpal with the old editor of metal hammer! Dont be fooled you’re voice to these guys counts.Even if they dont reply to your email at least you sent something through that they more than likely read. Go to a mag’s website and go nuts and email all the bloody staff! Tell em you need some Therapy? but please be nice. You’d be surprised at what you can achieve.
Get therapy? on the radio keep calling or keep visiting the stations website and send emails or votes or whatever.

Andy says they are battling a bit financially and Im damned if Im seeing my band breaking up because they just didnt have enough pennies. Some of you mentioned buying therapy? as a gift for a friend or patner, sounds like a really good idea. You dont always have to buy them Cds though you can also probably buy some ofensive swag on this site for your mates. Just do whatever you can do!
Wanna know a secret??
I know for a fucking fact that the reason Anthrax have reunited with old members is because they absolutely no cash like Therapy? I can tell you personal money figures that are beyond shocking for Anthrax and I can understand that with their love for music and perserverance why they have chosen to do a reunion to try and fill clubs and get word of mouth again.

When bands love what they do that much you just know that its the most important thing in the world for them.
I dont thing Andy and co want to lose the fanbase theyve worked up all these years. Its just a pity that kerrang and others have turned their backs on em in favour for whatever’s hip instead of covering what truly is the best music.

Have your say! Irritate them with your thoughts and be heard! But most of all buy the new album if you can its promised to be a good one!

Therapy? fans rule!!!

Not quite sure how that one will work.

Will certainly be making sure that all my friends, including those that like T?, those that don’t, those that have never heard of them and those that say’ I’ve got Troublegum’ and expect a pat on the head that the new album is out.

I fully agree what is being said here. I will be damned if one of my favourite bands stops making music due to lack of cash.

Therapy? is one of the very few bands which I have consistantly liked since ‘94 and they are still churning out great albums. With other bands nowadays I tend to want to hear before buying, with Therapy? I just buy.

If any of you guys come across websites where we can spread the word, or cause damage on polls, just post it hear. I work my ass off all day long and hardly have time to surf, but will indeed contribute where I can.

Anything to end the sad state of affairs regarding music in Ireland - sick and tired of this pop bullshit!

Therapy? > Westlife :D

As soon as I know about tourdates I turn into a spammer, one even worse than all the” penis enlargements ” that pop up in your inbox. As far as I know touring nowadays is the best way for a band to make money. Of course I do stalk people to buy the new album as well. I will always spread the word when it comes to Therapy? and I sincerely hope that there will be a lot of positive criticism about OCFA, radioplay, sold out shows etc. As far as I am concerned the Therapy? ship is not sinking, not for the forthcoming years…

There are bands that repeat what they’re doing, yet what Therapy? come out with feels fresh and different. They should be better known for that, other than the band that was Ireland’s version of the Seattle stuff in the early to mid 90’s.

All good and valid points.

I just emailed Kerrang Radio to ask them to get behind T? and play “Sprung”. (I did hear “Rise Up” on there last time around, so who knows…?)

Maybe some of you would care to join me and email them too.

that is a great idea :)

on the feeder street team we do stuff like placing banners with links where you can order in our signatures on other forums; the last thing we did was promoting feeder’s myspace page and requesting “lost and found” in the uk.
and for germany we will be getting flyers to hand out from the record company….what i want to say is - bring on a therapy? (online) street team, and i shall be in :D

I am writing an email now which i am gonna send to all people in my address book of whom I know are into Rock. I am gonna ask them to go to a recordstore, have a listen to One Cure Fits all, and if they like it to buy the album. Like Therapy? already have mentioned, this album is an important one for the boys…and if only one or two will listen i’d be happy…so start spamming

I finish my mail with: If you can prove to me you bought it I’ll buy you a beer:)
