Rain Hits Concrete already available?

#

Started by KJC Dublin (Karl)

Hey peeps,

I just stumbled on to the spitfire website (accessed through the link to buy the “Rock you Monkeys” single on this site) and it appears that you can already order Rain Hits Concrete.

Am at work and can’t try it :(

Will give it a shot all hungover tomorrow :D

Which place are people gonna download from? I haven’t downloaded singles like this before so which place doesn’t dictate how you can use your mp3s?

i’ll go with iTunes. it’s protected aac format, you can copy your files to as many iPods as you like, burn unlimited CDs (only 10 CDs with the same playlist though, and you can rerepi your song from the CDs afterwards, so who cares) plus you can copy the file to as many as 4 comps if i recall correctly.

plus it’s just about the only legal way to purchase and play the songs on my Mac :D

I guess i will get it from itunes..but i have never downloaded music from one of these sites before so can’t tell you if itunes better or not compared to the others. I’m not a fan of AAC’s so will probably convert it to something else when i get it.

Well after checking around the ones that are gonna be selling it it looks like iTunes are the one to go with. HMV charge monthly fees, Tescos only use wmas which I hate and Pinnacle’s site won’t load for me at the moment.

I bough Polar bear on the link that was posted on here, a link to buy the e.p should be on the rhc page in the discography tommorow unless it goes on rene’s to do list, i think it was a 192 kbs file which isnt the worse quality but not great however as it was mixed frommaster sounded alot better than equivalent mp3s on illegal networks.

ps unprotected mp3 so your free to do with it what you please.

Its a 30meg download for the program, just be careful when setting it up as it wants to run all your media and it installs quicktime too which I wasn’t so pleased about. But the actual program itself is easy. When you’re running it look in the top right for a thing saying “account: log in.” Click there and the option to create an account will appear. The rest is pretty intuitive.

yeah, pretty straightforward. quicktime is required as it is used to playback the aac files. you won’t be able to convert them to mp3 right away, as the files are protected. What you can do is you burn the files to a cd, then rip them in to mp3 using iTunes or another software. I heard there’s also some software that breaks the drm on the protected aacs, but i would not recommend that.

plus it’s illegal. lol.
