Aah, haven’t read all that yet. I ordered it from Spitfire (Eagle), the European site. It’s not on the North American site.

Compared to the Album this e.p sucks, play on would of been a good album closer, I still wouldve payed for this ep even if id of known that i wouldnt like it as the band need support.

If you aint bought this e.p get it now its worth the money for Play On.

I agree Play On could be about George Best. In fact im sure Andy said that in a diary post a while back.

You are? I thought you were a drum bod, sorry man! I’ll rephrase it in that case;

You’re a T? fan, I’m duty bound to help ;)

RHC is a great track!! It’s got it all, the killer hook, the energy, some bloody great drumming and a nice serving of anger/angst!

I know there has been some comments about Production on the new album, but from the songs on the E.P I think it sounds great. The bass sounds fantastic really big and beefy, the drums aren’t so in your face as other releases but it’s not like you can’t hear them the snare just isn’t so sharp..it’s just more of a traditional mix. I think they have done a top job:) The more i play the E.P the more i like the songs, i can see possibly why they may not be “album tracks” but i’m really coming round to Crazy Cocaine eyes.

I agree!

I just listened to the whole album on the link given on another thread, and have to say that the songwritting on the new album sounds excellent. Well done Lads!

These comments about poor production are a load of horseshit! The audio samples on the link are good, but obviously have been doctored a bit.
They tried to get rid of the “TINGY” sound on website audio samples which kinda drowned out the drums a bit. That was one complaint, if I remember correctly!
The volume of the samples have been turned up to try to increase the quality of the sound samples, but just doesn’t quite make it right. This would account for the sloppy production complaint.

Just listen to the samples of SPRUNG and RHC and compare them to the “T? My Space” sample and the download E.P. and you will notice the difference.

Well! I’ve had the album pre-ordered for ages now and cannot wait for it to be released.
My curiousity has been settled by checking out the audio samples, but now I’m just going to sit back, listen to the E.P. and wait for OCFA to fall through me letterbox in 2 weeks.

Especially loving the bit towards the end when the drums in the chorus go double-time, or whatever the technical jargon for it is…you know, the bit where the drums change in the last chorus.

I’m not a fan of the b-sides, but fair enough, thats why they are b-sides.
Play on was dissapointing, but CCE was good from an instrumental point of view, from a lyrical and vocal perspective it was poor.
RHC, was of course, great!

I love all the tracks on the EP, but if I was to pick my not so favourite, it would probably be “Hard Work and Hope” just for the simple reason I don’t find it as catchy as the others. I’m already singing along, an I’m really pleased that I downloaded this, even if I did have to wait the whole day for it. :p

Well done Andy, Mike and Neil. Top job. Looks like we’ll be in for a treat when the album comes out.

Me too. Surprisingly easy.

To comment on the production. I thought it sounded great. I’m very excited about the album now after hearing the ep.

Hey doesn’t anyone think the intro to ‘Play On’ sounds like something that wouldn’t be out of place on Semi-Detached, you know those strange in-between sounds you hear before ‘Don’t expect roses’ and others etc…?

Though Cocaine Eyes be a good jumpy track me thinks oh yeah.

Play On good slow number for those drives in the rain haha. Only messing though probably would fit hehe Rain Hits Concrete.
