God… I’ve said this before, but let me explain. When a song, or an album is uploaded to the internet, it is compressed by the computer, severing the high and low frequncies and leaving us with basically just the mids.
Since guitars naturally rest in the mids, Andys guitar will SEEM to overpower everything else in downloaded versions.
The drums tend to be in extremities- the hi-hat and cymbals are mostly treble, the bass drum and toms mostly bass, the snare is mostly mids (so will be about the only clear part of the kit).
The bass, is of course very bass-y, and will barely be audible in any format worth listening to on a downloaded version of any kind.
HOWEVER, all of the instuments will have important aspects of their sound that rest in the highs and lows cut, meaning that their full sound will not come through. Ergo, the production sounds crap.
